My review is regarding the Healing Digestive Illness book I came upon by searching the internet. This book has been a Godsend. I have purchased so many books that were specifically written to heal an illness that I have been dealing with since 2001 (Ulcerative Colitis). The books I've read were all natural type healing books. Just to give you an example of some books I've read that will now be taken to the nearest used book store because they didn't help me with Ulcerative Colitis are: "Breaking the Vicious Cycle" by Elain Gottschall, "Healing Digestive Disorders" by Andrew Gaeddert, "IBS: A Doctors Plan for Chronic Digestive Troubles" by Gevard Guillery, M.D., "The Makers Diet" by Jordan Rubin, "Patient Heal Thyself" by Jordan Rubin, "Digestive Illness" by Elizabeth Lipski, "Ulcerative Colitis" by Herbert M. Shelton. I can go on an on with other books I purchased but will stop here. At any rate, I have seen remarkable results and want others suffering with UC to read Russell Mariani's book because it is truly THE BEST DIGESTIVE HEALING BOOK!!!! I started his recommendations on May 22, 2007 and it's now July 9, 2007 and I can say I am so close to being free of any symptoms. I spent a lot of days in the hospital before reading his book, as well as missed a lot of work days, or had to quit my jobs many times because I was just too sick to continue on my daily activities. When your book arrived, I read it in full and immediately began incorporating
your recommendations into my life. It is especially beneficial in your book how you
cross-reference to other sections -- it makes for a most interesting
exploration of the many interconnected facets of the healing journey.
Menu planning, grocery shopping and cooking has become an ongoing adventure
and the variety is wonderful.

And it's an added bonus that as a healer you incorporate Dr. B's Water Cure
and Dr. Richard Schulze's products into your healing program along
with the amazing Simplexity products. I'm so grateful I was encouraged to
explore your approach to healing.

I got a lot out of this book. I am sure the products he recommends are excellent. There are many good quality colon, or parsite cleanses on the market, as well as probiotics. If your new to this info. The book is worth the purchase. It can save your life. Just keep in mind it is the beginning of your education, not the end all.

If you're so into detox like me, this is one of approach you can try/have tried.
It explains by using actual people's situation that gives you an idea to tailor the method for your condition.
It is a good read.

I have diverticulosis and IBS. This book was given to me by someone who swore by it. I tried several of the recommendations and I am feeling better. Many of the things are very expensive via the author. I just went to the Whole Foods store and got everything at a fraction of the cost and it's basically all the same ingredients. If you have any problems with your digestive system, absolutely read this book!

However, I ordered the same book from treasurepointbooks and received it damaged even though I ordered it in "new" condition.
Treasurepointbooks did correspond with me after my complaint and compensated me some money for the book. The company was very considerate and kind in its correspondence.
I also ordered The Yankee Years (new) from Gateway Cosmetics DVDs Books and received it damaged. Although I haven't received the refund on my credit card statement yet, this company was also willing to compensate me.
I've always had good luck with Amazon in the past, but for some reason this season has not gone well. Out of 4 books ordered, I had problems with 3.
(For some reason, Amazon will not allow me to go to each company and leave a review so I've done it this way.)

I found it ironic that I suffered with bleeding ulcerative colitis for 7 years, and so did the author! Every home needs this as a read, reread and reference book on their bookshelf. I bought it for my daughter because she suffers from ulcerative colitis and she even wound up in the hospital for 5 days. She has the book with her at college, so now I need to buy my own copy. Don't hesitate to buy this book, and also consider other resource books that help you better understand the digestive system.

This book has been life changing for me. It is well written with informative and practical advise. Never again will I be slave to a rigid doctor who tells me there is no cure but prescribed medicine for the rest of my life! Based on testimonies and time trued cures, this book gives all of us suffering with any kind of digestive illness hope again!

I've read many health care books over the last 30 years. "Healing Digestive Illness" is the best written book on IBS I've ever read. It is well researched, organized, and written in layman's terms. I often found myself stopping to reflect on the wisdom contained on each page. This is the information on IBS that I've been looking for most of my adult life. I finally found it all contained in one easy to read book. A must read for anyone with digestive disease.
