I have owned a pair of HEAVYHANDS now for over 15 years and I absolutely swear by them. I use them primarily as a separate method of exercising and strengthening my punching skills. I did have to obtain a heavier weight than what they originally came with, I think they are at 4 lbs. now, and I was very glad to see that they have come out with even heavier attachments.

I have found that my punches are stronger and I have more endurance when hitting focus mitts and the heavybag, and a lot of that I attribute to the use of the HEAVYHANDS when I am practicing my punches in the air and shadowboxing. A note of caution; do not punch with full force and be sure and stop your punches before you hyperextend your arm. If you don't, you will end up with some injuries.

As with any piece of exercise equipment, please read the manufacturers instructions and recommendation for use before using the HEAVYHANDS.

I began using HeavyHands in the middle eighties after I quit smoking and decided to exercise to get off the expected weight gain. I lost close to 50 pounds. I started out walking with HeavyHands and ended up running 6 miles per day with 5 pounds in each hand. Later I began running without HeavyHands because I wanted to get faster. I developed an injury and gained 50 pounds during the year and a half that I couldn't run. When the injury was healed, I started to run again but without the HeavyHands. I never could get back to where I was. This time began at the beginning, walking with HeavyHands, and I'm coming back. This time I'll be smarter and realize that at whatever weight I am that I was built for comfort not for speed. I still own my original set of HeavyHands but thought I would get a new set as a gift for myself. I am now walking 3 miles with 10 pound weights in each hand and getting the same runners high I did running 6 miles with 5lbs. Not only is the weight coming off but the muscle tone is coming fast. HeavyHands are THE BEST tools you can get because you can customize your workout by incorporating different kinds of movement and different weights. Be sure to work out in your target heart rate. There are calculators online. Just type in Heart rate calculator in your search engine and follow the directions. That will make all the difference and help prevent you from overdoing it like I did.
Buy them...use them...succeed in your goals and be happy.
