The book has great information a background of Steve Saleen's racing history, year by year information and model options, behind the scenes information, and how the cars were transformed from a run of the mill Mustang GT to a street legal race car. Lots of black & white photos, sample Saleen advertising, order forms, and marketing information. A must for any Late Model Mustang or Saleen Owner

Despite a foolish review here (gosh imagine the book only including models that were produced up to the publishing of the book!)You are not going to find a more informative BOOK on the Saleen Mustang anywhere. And having combed the internet over the years for more info, I find much of the information on the first 10 Years worth of Saleens on the internet seems to have been "borrowed" directly from Patty's book. A Must Read for Saleen fans and owners alike.

I remember buying a copy of this book when it was released in '94 or '95 and being very surprised by its lackluster quality and painful grammar/technical problems. Numerous mistakes and poor editing make it read like an early draft that went straight to press without interruption. I'm a big fan of Steve Saleen and his Mustangs, but I gave away my copy shortly after reading it in hopes that somebody would do a better job telling the story. Because there is currently no other book printed on the subject, I would only recommend it to someone who knew nothing about Saleens and was desperate to read about the first 10 years (it only covers 1984-1993). According to the Saleen chat boards the factory is putting out a 20th anniversary book next year, but I haven't heard any details.
