First you have to have a book open that has text to speech enabled. Second you go to your font key "Aa" key beside the space bar on your keyboard. If you have a text to speech enabled book opened the "Text-to-Speech" line will be in bold print. Just take your toggle switch to that line and turn it on. (This is how you turn it off too.) Hope this helps.
Don't forget to ask her nicely when you want her to read to you. She has feelings, you know...mine does at least. Her name is "Tinker Bell". If you want to see her picture and the review that I wrote about her (my "Kindle"), just "copy & paste" the following link into your computer's browser: http://cyndes-got-the-write-stuff.blogspot.com/2010/05/cyndes-kindle-review.html
My review lists a lot of really neat things that the "Kindle" does that maybe you don't even know about. Why don't you take a look, just in case.
Thanks and have a great day. And I hope you enjoy having your "Kindle" read to you. It's SO MUCH FUN!
Sincerely, ~Cynde (Cynde's Got The Write Stuff) http://cyndes-got-the-write-stuff.blogspot.com/
P.S. Your "Kindle" can be a boy, if you want; it's up to you. :o)
