I purchased this case to save $35 compared to the mophie juice pack. My assumption going in was that mophie would be higher quality but since I only got the case for when I take business trips, I didn't really need it to look good, just needed it to function. I was so impressed at the true look and feel of the case. I haven't yet used it for an extended period of time but so far it fits perfectly (no issues like other buyers) and it turns on/off and charges. It has that soft touch coating just like the mophie. The mophie still might be higher quality but this case is only a small step back.

I've only had this case for a few days but this is what I've learned about it:

Size
It makes the phone a little more than twice the thickness. Imagine an iPhone 3g.. just a little thicker than that. Also it makes the phone just noticeably longer. If you have smallish hands and like to type with the phone sideways this will most likely be a problem. It's bulky, but manageable. It still fits in my pockets just fine but I suspect that if you have Aeropostale jeans or other jeans with small pockets, you might have trouble.

Material
The plastic is smooth so it will slide off your lap, or out of your pocket if you're not careful. I haven't dropped my phone yet, but if I did, I don't think it would take any significant amount of damage with this case. More accredited to the sturdy build of the HTC one than to the case as the case has no soft bumpers or padding of any kind.

Flash/LED
When you try to take a picture with the flash on, there is a really bright, foggy halo around the picture completely ruining it. However, it's not difficult to slide the top of the case off if you really need to use the flash. If you want to use the led as a flashlight, it limits the width of the light significantly, but again, you can slide the top of the case off.

Battery
It holds a decent amount of charge. Without the case, my phone was lasting about 6 hours before I needed to charge it with near constant use. With the case, my phone could give me about 10 hours at near constant use.

Convenience
The case is not difficult to take on and off and is much more portable and practical than carrying an external battery pack. Also the added bonus of being able to take the case off and put it on the charger while carrying my phone around the house is nice. It means my phone hardly ever spends time plugged up to a wall. I've also found that the stand is perfect for video chatting as it has a good angle to both see the screen and capture your face in a preferable widescreen shot.

Over all
If you don't mind a bulky phone, and want the convenience of charging your phone on the go without carrying a power pack with you, this is the way to go. But if you value the thin profile of your phone over battery life, this case isn't for you.

*Update*
It would be nice if the battery could give a little more juice. I'm getting all day life and then some with casual use. When my battery was at 5%, I turned the case on to see just how much juice it gave. Without touching the phone, it got up to 50% before it quit charging. A little disappointing, but, like I said, I'm getting more than a full day's use out of my phone.

I must admit that this HTC one battery case is well worth the money and wait. This powerbank battery case has taken my HTC one to a new level of awesome. Compared between the new Galaxy S4 and HTC one and picked the later. However, battery has always been a weak spot for HTC smart phones. This battery case solves the issue beautifully. I has made into a phone lasts all day and when I include music for a two-and-half hour workout at the gym-I am surprised that HTC last so long with this case on it. It does add a bit bulkiness to HTC One. But that also means increased protection head to toe. Another innovation is the kickstand. I am actually very surprised by how wide it is and make the case and phone stand much more stable on my running machine. I love it so much and decided to get another one. This time only will be a white one.

Pros: Case seems sturdy and feels like it would protect the phone. Looks attractive.

Cons: Charges very slowly, phone warns that it's charging slow. Will not charge from 14% to 100%. Phone keeps going in an out of Voice and Data roaming when case is on. When it's off, it doesn't happen. I'm returning the case tomorrow and opting for the more expensive Mophie alternative to see how it compares.

Returned it immediately. Bought two. The first one wouldn't charge, the second one was just enough off that your couldn't slide the phone into the docking slot. Bought a Mophie, much happier.

I bought this one day before it became available. After looking at it carefully, I decided to buy it.

I am mostly satisfied with this case design. I keep the phone in it almost all of the time. The only reason I ever take the phone out is if I am wearing jeans with small pockets. If you typically keep your phone in your front pants pocket, you will generally need to take the phone out of your pocket when sitting down.

I am pleased that the case exposes all of the buttons and ports. It makes the screen lock button much harder to press, which prevents pocket dialing and texting. It also repositions the power connector to the center, which is nice. Some people say that the case is smooth and has no grip, but I would say it has a little bit of grip.

The kickstand was a big selling point for me. Most HTC phones have kickstands, but to make the One super-thin, HTC had to forego the kickstand. This case brings that functionality back.

I typically keep the case on all of the time so the phone stays completely charged. That way if I do have to take it out of the case it will be at maximum charge. The case will last about 8 hours like that with normal use. I have not torture-tested it to see how long it lasts under non-stop use.

Word of warning: If the case and phone get too hot, it will quit charging properly and the One's charge LED will flash red. The solution to this is to take the phone out of the case, let both cool down and hook them back together.

I just got this today and let me tell you it was worth the wait, excellent built quality, slim, stylish and I love the fact that it comes with a nice kick stand for a very reasonable price.I also received it much sooner than promised, this is why I think that it deserves five stars.

I really only bought this case because I wanted to use my HTC phone as a GPS on the Golf Course. It actually serves its purpose quite well. The hard (and sturdy) case protects it from bouncing around in the golf cart. And the battery does provide some extra time on the phone's charge.

So why only 3 stars? Well, first I don't think the battery lasts long enough for the amount you pay. I paid $65.00 for it, and I am estimating only about an additional 30-45 minutes of Golf GPS usage (keep in mind, the Golf GPS is pretty CPU-intensive). Even so, I was hoping for an extra 90-120 minutes -- it didn't come close.

Second, due to the weight and bulk of this product, it really isn't a viable option as an every-day case. The ONLY time I use this case is when I'm golfing.

This product never did work as described. It regularly overheated. Note that it comes with a 1 year written warranty with direct contact information. The manfuacturer refuses to honor this warranty insisting that I submit for warrranty through Amazon. No way to do this and they are aware of this as well. Bad product and extremely unresponsive customer service.

Post Script I finally got customer service from the Manufacturer. He sent a brand new product with a mailing envelope and postage to return the failed one. The new one has been in use for 2 months now and works flawlessly. Whatever quality control they implemented, it worked well. A little bit of a hassle, but the company did make good on this producte and therefore am raising my Rating from 1* to 4* Yes I would buy again upon receipt of the second unit.

Arrived broken: same problem as the others have had in that the mini connector thing broke loose upon attempting to plug in the unit. Bummer. Must return for a refund. How embarrassing...
