Serves its purpose

I've only had this case for a few days but this is what I've learned about it:
It makes the phone a little more than twice the thickness. Imagine an iPhone 3g.. just a little thicker than that. Also it makes the phone just noticeably longer. If you have smallish hands and like to type with the phone sideways this will most likely be a problem. It's bulky, but manageable. It still fits in my pockets just fine but I suspect that if you have Aeropostale jeans or other jeans with small pockets, you might have trouble.
The plastic is smooth so it will slide off your lap, or out of your pocket if you're not careful. I haven't dropped my phone yet, but if I did, I don't think it would take any significant amount of damage with this case. More accredited to the sturdy build of the HTC one than to the case as the case has no soft bumpers or padding of any kind.
When you try to take a picture with the flash on, there is a really bright, foggy halo around the picture completely ruining it. However, it's not difficult to slide the top of the case off if you really need to use the flash. If you want to use the led as a flashlight, it limits the width of the light significantly, but again, you can slide the top of the case off.
It holds a decent amount of charge. Without the case, my phone was lasting about 6 hours before I needed to charge it with near constant use. With the case, my phone could give me about 10 hours at near constant use.
The case is not difficult to take on and off and is much more portable and practical than carrying an external battery pack. Also the added bonus of being able to take the case off and put it on the charger while carrying my phone around the house is nice. It means my phone hardly ever spends time plugged up to a wall. I've also found that the stand is perfect for video chatting as it has a good angle to both see the screen and capture your face in a preferable widescreen shot.
If you don't mind a bulky phone, and want the convenience of charging your phone on the go without carrying a power pack with you, this is the way to go. But if you value the thin profile of your phone over battery life, this case isn't for you.
It would be nice if the battery could give a little more juice. I'm getting all day life and then some with casual use. When my battery was at 5%, I turned the case on to see just how much juice it gave. Without touching the phone, it got up to 50% before it quit charging. A little disappointing, but, like I said, I'm getting more than a full day's use out of my phone.
