I purchased this product at the end of October 2012, despite having read the negative reviews about the earlier release of the product (which did not actually fit the iPod Nano 7th generation). The company posted on the page that they had fixed the problem, so I figured - it's only $15.

I received the product within days, and it was indeed updated and fit my iPod Nano 7th generation perfectly. The armband is quite decent quality and very easy to work. The case that holds the iPod itself appears to be neoprene or some similar polymer, and while I was concerned that it was a bit flimsy, it actually has done a quite fine job of keeping my Nano in place and safe. No real complains - I'm not an engineer, and probably because of that I always fret if something isn't a rigid case...anyway, it's only $15, right?

One nice feature - the armband has an extra velco strap that lies alongside the strap, which lets you bundle up the headphone cables when you aren't actually using them. Pretty nice.

I gave this product 4 stars because it isn't perfect, but honestly for a $15 product it's as good as you can expect - I would recommend this case to friends.

I bought this armband for use while running. The nano 7g fits great in the rubberized case and the armband securely holds to my arm. The case is easily removed from the armband without taking the nano out of it if you want to put the nano in your pocket without the armband. The screen protector was a little difficult to get in place but once on it works great. You can't beat this case, screen protector and armband for the price. I recommend this product.

Cue: U2's "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."

For the purpose of this review, I am calling the compartment that holds the iPod Nano itself the "holder," while the strap will be referred to as the "armband." I have tested the i-Blason product, as well as offerings from Belkin, Ionic, and Griffin. In comparison, the i-Blason's holder is superior to the others, in that (1) now redesigned, the holder does fit the new iPod Nano very nicely; (2) it feels rubberized so the iPod fits snugly; (3) the exterior controls to the iPod can be easily manipulated through the holder; and (4)the opening for the headphone jack is in the bottom of the holder, and aligns nicely with the receiver in the Nano itself. The Ionic, Belkin, and Griffin offerings all position the hole for the headphone jack in the lower back of the holder, which requires a bit of manuevering and stretching to align with the receiver in the iPod.

And regarding the final point above, there is also an opening in the bottom of the holder for the power cord, so you don't have to remove the Nano from the holder for recharging as you do with the other manufacturer's products. A very nice plus.

However, what's with the armband? i-Blason provides the only armband of the four tested that doesn't stretch. The armband consists of a material almost like vinyl with velcro stitched to the bank. When you get hot and begin to sweat - especially if you are wearing a shirt with no sleeves - the armband begins to slip off the arm, forcing you to yank it tighter. It's not a good design at all. Plus, the armband is not very long, and males with average to larger biceps will find it very constricting. I can't imagine a sports armband that doesn't stretch, but this may be just a strongly ingrained personal preference.

Thankfully, the armband is not stitched to the holder, and can be removed. My solution was to take a stretchable armband for an old iPod 6th generation Nano sports armband produced by a different manufacturer (that also wasn't stitched to the holder) and use it instead of the unsuitable one provided by i-Blason. Now - finally - I have hybrid product that holds the iPod Nano securely as well as a stretchable armband that stays in place, and is long enough to wear over a running jacket.

In my opinion only, each of the four manufacturers named above have sacrificed quality in order to reduce manufacturing costs, either through very poor design, or the provision of unsuitable (too short, don't stretch) armbands. I am hoping that another manufacturer will emerge that will provide a quality product, for which - I believe - most people would be willing to pay. I certainly would.

Apparently there were some earlier issues with this armband case, but mine arrived today and it fits perfectly. Whatever may have been the problem has now been corrected and I would recommend it. It's good quality and looks nice. I'm happy with it!

**Update** The company was good enough to send out the corrected version of this product, and everything works great now. Thanks guys!

The other reviewers are correct. This case does not fit the nano as it should. The makers must have believe the white part at the bottom of the nano wouldn't be a solid piece. I was able to get the nano in, but it was very snug and the earbuds would not go in correctly. You can very much tell this was rushed to market.

I was a little skeptical about buying this after reading previous reviews, however, I bought 4 of them for our entire running family and they are perfect.

This case fits my new 7th gen iPod nano perfectly. The strap is thin and comfortable and the screen protector is a nice addition.

Purchased this armband to use while running. The IPOD case fits well and holds the IPOD Nano V7 very securely and prevents rain from getting into the controls. I can access all the controls on the IPOD even through the material. The armband however was not that great. It is stiff, non-flexible and doesn't conform well to my arm. When using the armband, I can't get the unit tight enough to keep it from sliding down my arm when running. That is very annoying when exercising. I ended up replacing the armband with a different stretchable arm band that I had with my IPOD V6. That works very well, and it fits well with the i-Blason case.

After using this product for alittle over 2 months at the gym the Velcro started drastically pulling off of the iblason band. I went to grab my ipod (which is housed in the iblason sport armband and silicone case) off of my shelf today and head over to the gym for my daily workout when i noticed that the velcro began to be pulling off of the sport band. I am overall very disappointed with this product and would not recommend it to anyone. I should have bought a similar product from somewhere else.

--- screen protector is useless
--- silicone protective case fits very nicely snug around the iPod nano 7th Gen and is probably the only thing worth keeping out of the whole package deal.
