Exam Prep books have been used to passed every certification in the computing industry. The main reason is the completeness and accuracy with which they are written. Another shining example is the INET+ Exam Prep.

Not the first book on INET+ I have had the opportunity to review, but this book is certainly of the best on the market today. What I liked most about this book was that fact that is also would help you pass the CIW Foundation exam as well as INET+.

Broken down and covering objectives like TCP/IP, networking basics, security, e-commerce, web design, legal issues and the internet, you have more than enough material to pass both exams. Having used this book and retaken each exam I found this book to right in line with both exams, in fact my scores went up after using this book.

Filled with pictures, diagrams, tables, figures, exam tips, chapter summary, review question and real world projects, there might not be another book than can touch this one. There is even a sample test included in the book to give you a feel for the real thing, all answers are also included.

The authors have included an appendix with essential HTML tags that make the web part of the exam a snap. The cd=rom included has over 100 questions for testing in four different formats from fixed length to test all. Overall Coriolis has a real winner and best seller on their hands with this book, stop by your bookstore and get one and begin the road to certification success today.

I bought this book a while back and let it sit for quite some time before I finally dug into it. Unfortunately, when I went to schedule my exam (I was 3 chapters from the end of the book) I found out that the test objectives were slightly altered(to reflect changes in technology). Fortunately, I found a 25 page study guide on the internet that gave an overview of the new objectives for the new exam(IKO-002).

The i-Net+ exam covers a broader scope of knowledge than any certification exam I have previously taken (A+, Network+ and Server+). As for this book, I think it's a fantastic resource. It covered the broad spectrum of material in as great a depth as I believe is possible without being dry and unreadable. The fact that I was able to pass the new exam with flying colors (I got an 811 out of a possible 900) using this book and only an amended study guide is quite a testimony to the thoroughness of this book.

I should warn that there are a few errors here and there on some of the practice tests. Also, the practice test questions range in difficulty from very challenging to insultingly easy - fortunately the latter type of question is rare and most give at least a moderate challenge. Oh well, if you take your time and read/study the book cover to cover you'll know the stuff well enough to edit what few mistakes there are in the pracice exams.

I haven't been in the computer field for very long and had been having trouble finding books I could understand. When I came across this book I was in disbeleif that i could understand what they were trying to get across. The book is well written, easy for even a novice like myself to understand, and it threw some humor in to mix unlike most Books i have read on most other subject. It also covered the information on the test very well. Thanks to this book i not only passed my test, I passed it on the first attempt. This was an incredible book to study from and its a good read.
