I give it 5 stars becuase it does everything it is suppose to do, which is charge 2 iphones/ipods at the same time. The blue led is bright at night but the unit has a switch to turn it off. The other review gave it a con by saying it cant sync to your computer but it was not design to do that and it never said anywhere that it does. You cant give something a con for being 30 dollars when a dual charger with usb sync would be about 100.

The iSound twin charger is a low profile, sleek, stand-alone dual charger that allows users to charge an iPhone and an iPod at the same time. It comes with six adaptors of various sizes and a list to tell you which to use for specific models. The shiny black box is only 3/4' high, by 2 3/4' deep by 7 1/2 " long, perfect for a desk, nightstand, or shelf that already has other objects on top. You can choose to have a blue glow LED lighting the logo and lines, or by flipping a switch, turn it off.

Advantages: Most people own more than one Apple iPod or iPhone, so this little unit makes it easy to charge both devices at once. Charging is relatively quick, and the power cord is about six feet long, which allows you to plug it into a floor surge protector and get it to your desk top. I like the LED light because it gives it some pizzazz despite its practical use. I love that I can charge both overnight and keep them together and secured.

Disadvantages: The box only comes with one type of adaptor for each model, making it difficult to charge, say, two iPhones side-by-side, especially since iPhones need charging on an almost-daily basis. You'll have to remove any protective covers from the iPod/iPhone since the width of the slots perfectly matches the width of the devices, with or without an adaptor installed. The shiny black surface also attracts dust and hangs on to it, but that's an issue with all of the glossy black cases on the market today.

UPDATE: I found that the adaptors can be easily removed with a thumbnail or thin knife/screwdriver once you find the small slot in the back of them. This also successfully charges my iPhone 4, although my model predates the iPhone 4, which means there is not an adaptor for it. I connect mine with all adaptors removed.

The product description for this makes you believe that it has the "correct" adaptors for TWO iPhones. This is why I chose this as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend's parents over the Griffin model. (I liked the clean styling of the Griffin better, but it only comes with one iPhone adaptor.) I did find another adaptor that would "allow" another iPhone to be connected, but it is very sloppy and leaves too much room for damage. If you are buying this for 2 iPhones, find another adaptor for the 2nd phone. (and let me know where you find it, because I need another!)

Very good product. We have two I-phones and we needed a device to charge them at the same time. This device is doing the job very well.

Look's very sharp when iPhone/iPpods are charging lighting up in BLUE. I have the New iPhone4 and works perfect. Have no complaints for this PRODUCT. Works GREAT. I U HAVE A LARGER CASE THAN THE SONIX CASE THERE IS ROOM FRONT BACK AND SIDE TO SIDE ON THE DOCKING PORT. Although the SONIX CASE is very slim.

I own a Belkin case and the wife owns a Otterbox. We are able to simply leave the adaptors out of the unit and charge our phones with the cases still on.

The unit has an optional blue LED (you can turn it off permanently with a switch on the rear) thats is supposed to light up when the iPhones are charging. It appears to light when the left slot has a phone in it, but not the right slot. Its stays list as long as a phone is in slot one, and serves no real purpose (it may have been useful if it changed color or went off when the phone was charing or charged etc).

The power supply is one of those 'walt warts' with a green LED on it, the power prongs are positioned so that the power supply is at 90 degrees to the prongs, which may be a hassle if you use this on a power strip.

This item works great for a two ipod touch family. Both ipods fit perfectly with their leather cases on...no adapter needed...without the case the plastic adapter that came with the pod snaps into the unit perfectly. The unit comes with a number of different adapters which we didn't use. The blue lighting is nice...comes on when an pod is correctly placed on unit for charging...perhaps too bright for a bedroom but we use it as a night light in the den and there is a switch to turn light off. Unit is small, nicely made and best of all...it works.

It does what it's supposed to do, which is charge my iPhone 3g and my iPod touch at the same time. No more having to wait for thing to finish charging before plugging in the other. Comes with a variety of docks to fit practically all types of iPods and iPhones. Bu I wonder what's gonna happen when the new iPhone 4g/HD comes out. Where would I be able to get the dock adapter for that?

This "Twin Charger" is just what we were looking for since we have multiple iPods, including iTouch (3rd Gen) and Nano (4th Gen). The charger more than met my expectations, here are my observations:

Pros:

+ Includes a base adapter for the various iPod and iPhone models

+ Charges two iPods\iPhones at the same time

+ Easy to use

+ Looks nice

Cons:

- Only has one base adapter of each type, so if you have two of the same model you have to find an additional adapter but it is compatible with the standard base adapters that ship with the iPod.

Misc:

* The unit lights up when in use but the light can be turned off with the switch in the back

* The iPod can play when in the charger

I am really very pleased with how simple this charger is to use and that it can handle two iPods at the same time.

This is a great twin charger. We have purchased 2 of these items. This charger works with our 2nd & 3rd generation Ipod Touch players.
