4.0 out of 5 stars Pricey fun for the car-lovin' toddler
This garage was so easy to put together (it did not require screws or the ability to read poor assembly instructions), and the plastic is pretty solid, not flimsy. The cars are chunky enough for small toddler hands. The interactivity is just right -- not too much, not too little: there are no annoying saccharine high-pitch voiced songs. 2.0 out of 5 stars TOO EASY TO DISMANTLE
We bought this for our grandson's second birthday. My husband put it together and basically before he had moved away from it our grandson had taken all the parts off. No matter how hard my husband push on the pieces to "click" them in they would easily be pulled out. Our grandson loved the basic concept of driving the cars up and down the drive but the ramp wasn't...

Other toys cars we have also fit this garage, another plus because you can really expand this garage into a parking lot!

For what it does, the price is unfortunately steep. The right price should have been $30. Also quirky is that the toy does not include a helicopter for the helipad on top of the garage.

Last but not least, it is so true that this garage is easily dismantled by a toddler. My son began to take it apart while stepping on it as a stool -- off came the ramp by accident, and from there it went downhill. He takes this garage apart at least once a day. That is the downside to idiot-proof assembly: toddler reverse-engineering. I guess you could look at that as an unintended toy benefit. Being able to take the garage apart has kept my child more interested in it!

Our grandson loved the basic concept of driving the cars up and down the drive but the ramp wasn't there because he had easily unhooked it. We were very disappointed in the qualilty of this product and would not recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic toy for 1-6 year olds, May 25, 2007
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
My 1 year old just got this as a birthday gift - we had picked it out because every time we went to the local toy store, the kids were swarming around this garage. It is extremely well-made - requires NO SCREWS to put together (thank you!), and it is still fun to play with even if the batteries die out. The sounds are not annoying either.

I gave it four stars for durability because while it is well-made, the red slide easily comes off. It is easy to put back on, so it is just a minor complaint. I wish it came with a helicopter, or that they made a helicopter compatible with the playset, but that's just a nice-to-have.

As a side note - my 3 1/2 year old LOVES this toy and plays with it with his brother. It's great to have a toy that the two of them can share.

My 20-month-old son LOVES this toy. He plays with it everyday. It's taught him to "pretend play" with cars and trucks, and he's learned the concept of "up and down" because of the elevator. The design of this toy is larger and sturdier for clumsy toddler hands. Nothing has too much detail, but enough to make it fun and interesting. Very durable. We have been very happy with it.

I just got this for my two year old grandson and he LOVES it. This despite a missing part and no lights and sound. Toy arrived with two P signs and no gate. Changed batteries twice but still no lights and sound. Went to web site and could find NO WAY TO CONTACT COMPANY to get missing gate so I will have to send the whole thing back and get a new one. Normally would just ask for money back in this situation, but my boy loves it.

My daughter chose this as my Christmas gift for my grandson and she is VERY particular with what her new son plays with. He has enjoyed it since before he was a year old and will enjoy it for many years to come. It's one of those toys that will entertain little minds for more than just one year or less. It was well worth the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars My son loves it!, April 8, 2008

I bought the Zoom Around Garage for my son's 2nd birthday. I had read past reviews regarding how easy it comes apart. I agree somewhat. It stays together easier and is more durable on a hard floor vs. carpet, but once I snapped everything into place it has yet to come apart (I make sure to carry it around by the base). My son absolutely loves it! The cars zoom around so easy down the ramps and are very easy for him to handle. He loves the elevator (we play hide and seek with the cars in it), and the sound effects are fun. I was originally going to get this toy last Christmas, but I'm glad I waited until his birthday. He knew immediately how to manipulate the elevator and the cars to go down the ramp (something I don't think he would have grasped fully a few months ago). I would highly recommend this product for any toddler who loves cars.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great garage!, February 15, 2007
By
We just received the iPlay Zoom Around Garage and my son (15 mos) and daughter(3 1/2 years) just love it! It's a very reasonable size and the cars are perfect for little hands. It's very sturdy (my son sits on it!) and it was easy to assemble. The lights and sounds add to fun! The sounds are not too loud (high and low settings) and you can turn them off if you'd like. We already have a Playskool Wheel Pals Reese Q. Copter that's perfect for the helipad.

We bought this for our 18 month old son last Christmas. It is still a daily used toy. It cost more than other garages, but is worth every penny. The ramp does come apart very easy, but it is not hard to put back together. It is very durable. He has actually stood on the garage, and he is 30+ pounds. Highly recommend.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pricey Play Toy, November 5, 2008

Luckily (for me) my mom bought this expensive toy for my son. He got it when he was around 12 months old and didn't really play with it much for the first six months. He initially was afraid of the sounds it made! He mainly tore off the arc with the "P" on it to use for teething. Later on he snapped the little barrier arm to the elevator in two-which created a potential choking hazard in the small round piece created when it broke. He does love the magnetic cars, though. He enjoys the sounds the garage makes now that he's 21 months old, but still doesn't really get the concept of running the cars through the car wash or sending them for a ride in the elevator. I'd say this is a toy for a three year old and up. Overall, I'm glad he's gotten some enjoyment from this toy but I'm glad I wasn't the purchaser.
