Most of the other players like this for iPod only play the iPod so the added feature of the DVD player built in was a great enticement. This is great for long rides in the car. The two headphone jacks are nice so that two people can watch and listen without needing a headphone splitter. You can also use this without the included headphones (which are actually quite nice) and share your movies with others. This also comes with a carry case to keep it safe from scratches when not in use. I was a bit confused as to why it had a remote but found out that the remote eases the navigation on-screen. Watch out for the power on your iPod as this serves as a power supply for your iPod only when it is plugged in to AC/DC power. Really my only disappointment was that the white version was more expensive than the black version when I made my purchase (now they are the same price) and overall they are both priced a bit high. Cool travel toy though! I took mine when we traveled out of town for Christmas. I had videos on my iPod of our house and other family that people we were visiting hadn't yet seen. I put my iPod in the iLuv and set it up on the table. Everyone was able to watch the movies at the same time. You can also hook this up to a TV with the included cables and use it like a regular DVD player. It won't however play videos from your iPod on the TV. But if you love your iPod and want to share it's contents with others, this is the way to go and you get a portable DVD player all in one!

hi i bought this item to put it in my car and put the ipod in it but it turns out that it's a little big and the worst thing in it that you cant control the ipod from the front screen so you need to turn it around and choose from the ipod and by the way it can only play video in the screen i'm not saying this to make you change your mind i'm just saying "it's not perfect"..but there is some good stuff in it

it can play DVD and MP3 cd's and there is 2 holes for the headphones and you can connect it to the TV

Impressed with the quality of the display and ease of use. 2 major drawbacks: battery life barely makes 2 hours; size of the unit is bulky - fine for a briefcase, but hardly practical as an easy carry item. Serves the intended use and price is a bargain considering all accessories that came with it. Spare battery pack will compensate for short battery life.

This product has saved my life when traveling on long trips. Because I'm in a compact truck the lap-top style of DVD player just wasn't going to work for me. This is exactly what I needed. The only problem so far is that the battery doesn't last more than 15 minutes if it's not plugged in. Since I want to use this on the airplane, that is a problem, so I'm looking into it.
As far as I know they've phased this DVD player out and have an upgraded version. I think this one is pretty good and getting it on clearance was a steal, so I'm sure their upgrade is probably pretty good too!
Oh ya, all the added accessories make it pretty awesome too.

We are very happy with the iLuv dvd player. The only thing we would change is that we would like to be able to watch the ipod videos on a television connection through the dvd player, but that doesn't seem to work. However, we would definitely buy this product again!

I started having problems with Screen display from the start. It flickers and then goes gray. My first email to the company for assitance was ignored. The second email was replied to and made no sense. A phone call placed earlier today to customer service has yielded no response. I've been able to watch two movies in two months.

My daughter loves this thing. Our DVD player went out and we were watching videos throughout Christmas day. So we borrowed her Christmas present (the iLuv) and plug it into the TV. Works great by itself and with our tv. My daughter especially likes the carrying bag.

Pruduct is good except for the battery, it dies (for ever .... dead) after couple of months of use. Since it has a 110 VAC and a 12 VDC connector, to me it has not been a major problem.
