I am well pleased with this scale. It is far superior than any I have owned in the past. The tare weight setting is especially useful since it simplifies measuring liquids, powders, etc.. It does all the ad said it could do. A very useful item in the kitchen, wieghing for U.S. stamps, etc..

The scale didn't work and the batteries it came with were already running low. I sent the scale back and after 12 days left 3 voice messages with the seller to get a status on the replacement. No one called back. By contacting the seller via e-mail he would only say that it may take up to 30 days till it will be sent back to me. I sent all info + tracking number to the seller and asked for a refund as I needed the scale urgently by now to weigh a product development. I had to buy another scale in the meanwhile. After many e-mails from my side repeating again and again all the necessary info including: return shippment tracking number and where I shipped it to.

All sellers responses were alike this last one that is unbelievable:

You can do what you want but in order to get refund you have to return the scale which you have not so stop childish behaviour if you can't think ask your friend how does real world works you have to return to get refund they would be. Able to help you

This is beyond anything called "customer service".

I purchased the My Weigh iBalance 5000 for kitchen use. I bake artisan sourdough and rye breads and wanted a scale more sensitive than my Escali.

The My Weigh is very responsive and quickly turns on and off. It also shuts itself off to save battery life. The display light dims automatically, but immediately brightens the moment an ingredient is added. The scale measures in grams, pounds and ounces, and pounds. It also counts, but I've not used that function. The tare function is a must have for any baker.

Since the scale was bounced around by the USPS, being misdelivered before it was actually delivered, I questioned its accuracy. It's a good thing I checked as it was off by five grams. Fortunately you can calibrate this scale and it is pretty easy to do.

It really works well, has great features, is very accurate, easy to read and the surfaces are very easy to keep clean. Note: Do not buy this for the bowl.
