iBUYPOWER 542D3 February 25, 2010

You couldn't build a computer like this, with comparable parts for the cost without hours and hours of searching for good deals. Processor, and OS would cost near $400 alone.

The computer arrived about a week after ordering. Set up was easy with no problems. Processor is fast and windows 7 works like advertised. Comes with a 750w power supply mounted on the bottom, pretty good mouse and keyboard, and a nice looking case with a top exhaust fan. Plenty of extra slots for expansion.

It doesn't have the greatest brand name parts inside but they more than do the job. The video card is a little lacking for newer games.

Overall it's a great computer for the price.

Overall very happy March 19, 2010

Very fast great price and I got it as advertised 1 day!

My issues are few... One... video card isnt exactly up to date
I replaced the one in it with a $200 card and now I am even happier

Total caost $799 plus $200 for video card = $999
still a great rig for the price

2nd issue there is so little data on this computer. My new video card wanted at least a 450 watt power supply. I was at bestbuy looked all over internet for specs. The video card stock requires a 400 watt power supply. I figure since this is a gaming computer that it should have at least 450 Got home found it was a 750 watt power supply so i was very happy with that

3rd issue after a few days windows 7 shut down said my copy was illegal and already registered on another computer
After a couple hours on phone with microsoft people and automated button pushes They finally fixed that issue
So someone at ibuypower is using the same disk over and over again or mine was used twice
I did not receive a hard copy either

As a note... I notice the tags for this item say nvidea, however mine came with an ATI

Aside from those issues I am very happy and my friends are looking into getting one as well

I play WOW and often have 2 or 3 accounts open and with this commputer and new video card I can do so with ease My frame rates are still very high Most of this ofcourse is due to the video card and not the computer itself.

If you play games then buy this!

So far so good! May 19, 2010

I must admit after reading the feedback left for iBuyPower computers that I was a little nervous about ordering one. Mine arrived today and so far it has been smooth sailing! Amazon shipped the computer super fast even with Super Saver shipping option. (Save yourself the money if you don't need it the next day!) The computer fired right up and I am currently moving all of my files and programs over from my old hard drives.

The rig itself is nice looking and quieter than my old Raid Max case. The motherboard has four open PCI slots. One complaint is that the fan on the video card obstructs the PCI slot directly below the video card. No big deal though, an upgrade to a better card might be in the future. Another complaint is that the hard drive bays come with a rail system that I haven't seen before. (Maybe because my old stuff was super old!) Anyway they only provided one set of rails so I can't slot in my old hard drive. Guess I will be ordering some rails on eBay soon.

All and all I would say that this rig is worth the price paid. It was worth taking the risk even with other folks leaving bad feedback. Give iBuyPower a shot, there is always a quick and easy return process with Amazon.com!
