I got this because my grandson likes the iCarly show and is fascinated by buttons, noisemakers, sound effects, etc. He specifically asked for this gift. It seems strong and well made, but not especially educational. He enjoys making the sound effects.
I purchased it through Amazon because I could not find it in any local store. It's really good to know there's a place for obtaining hard-to-find items.

There are very few shows that my entire household enjoys. When you've got two 30-something year old parents, a 9 year old son and a 6 year old daughter, you're dealing with a lot of different types of attitudes. iCarly is one of the few shows that we all enjoy watching together! My youngest saw Sam's remote and instantly wanted it. She is a huge fan of Sam. We purchased the remote and were pleasantly surprised by it! First of all, it's very solid. It's not really heavy, per se, but it's definitely sturdy in your hand. She hasn't dropped it (yet) so I'm not sure how it will hold up over time, but so far it's held up beautifully.

A big positive? IT HAS AN OFF BUTTON! So many kids toys that make noise don't have off buttons, but Sam's remote does! Big kudos to whomever added that little addition to the toy. In the remote that we bought, there are little gems that you can use to "bling out" the remote. Being an artsy person, my daughter adored that. What's funny is that now everyone in the house is using Sam's remote to let others know what we're feeling! In a bad mood? Use the "boo" button. Happy about something? How about some applause! It's a really fun little gadget that both of my children love playing with, and if mommy happens to push the buttons every once in awhile, well, what's wrong with that?

My 10 year old daughter is a big fan of iCarly. When she got the remote, she carried it around all week pushing the buttons to bring the response to wanted to all situations. I found myself liking the product. Imagine trying on a new outfit and hitting the applause button. Good toy for kids that like to video tape their own "shows"

My duughter who is five loves to watch i-carley and all of her freinds,and all of the atics that happen. IT is rewarding to see a program that the whole family ccan watch. My daughter Rheannon loves to use the remote while watching i-carley. We also put on our own show which she uss the remote. The story lines are always great and it is nice to see something that is rated for the whole family.

The audio quality on this cheap-looking plastic toy is horrendous. You can barely decipher what the sound effect is supposed to be. Greeting cards that play music when opened have better fidelity. Fortunately, I didn't pay the outrageously inflated price currently charged here, but ordered it for half the price from "world's largest toy store". Regardless, it's going back.

If you've ever seen an episode of Nick's 'iCarly' show, you have certainly seen the character Sam use a remote that looks very similar to this. If your youngster likes to imitate the show, and put on his/her own pretend shows, then this is the perfect toy. It has four buttons, one button each for laughter, booing, dance music, and 3-4 assorted sound effects. The sound quality is OK, the build quality is fair. If it is used a lot, the labels will certainly wear off. The LED lights are imitation, nothing lights up. I wish the build quality was better. toy that will hopefully last the length of your child's interest in the television show!

My 8-year old daughter loves ICarly show and everything about it. She loved the remote. She plays with all the time, took it on the road trip and made clap sounds when she was happy about something or boo sounds if she didn't like some ideas.

The toy is just that, a toy. My daughter saw it at walmart and wanted it for her birthday. When we went to purchase it, it was no longer in stock. She loved it from the moment she opened the box. It brings her lots of joy, so it serves its purpose.

I got this for my daughter who loves icarly, and she can't put this toy down. Its a lot of fun!

I bought this at the request of my 11 year old daughter for xmas. She really likes it, although you really can't play with it that long. My only gripe is I wish it was a lot louder than it is.
