Product is great for its price and what it is. I just needed a little speaker, with alright quality sound that was portable. That is exactly what this offers. While not exactly audiophile sound it does offer a little higher clarity than I expected. There is no popping, hissing or crackling. Don't expect it to be exceptionally loud, this is a product for one person in close proximity. You won't be able to hear it across a room.

This is a great product for those that just don't feel like having ear buds or head phones on. Would also make a good product for walking, biking and jogging - it helps keep your ability to hear things going on around you.

Some adults might be turned off by the flashing lights on the face but I'm not deterred.

The clip could be a little stronger but it holds on just fine.

Overall it is a cute and functional little product that I would highly recommend to those with similar needs.

I purchased this for my son for Christmas. He saw a commercial on t.v. but I couldn't find it in any stores. It was cheaper at Amazon than any other on-line store I looked and it was shipped very quickly. Very impressed.

My 8-year-old got this toy for Christmas and she loves it! She can wear the clip to friends' houses and listen without ear buds. Great portable speaker!

the idog clip is SO AWESOME!the sound quality is better than I expected(but if you play it too loud it gets kind of messed up).the flashing lights that go along with your music look so cool!when I purchased this,I thought it was just a speaker(with the lights),but he has moods and you have to take care of him by "feeding" him(playing music through him).Also the clip is good and I can clip him to my pocket or my shirt.

after exhaustive searching, i finally found a claim in a patent dispute document that the I-dog Clip can listen to music played near it via an external mic (like the full sized I-dog*). It cannot. while i could not find a clear claim to the contrary on Amazon or any other vendor site, i thought this could be made more clear. this product does not include a mic. there is no mic. the mic is a lie.

*** the I-dog clip is in fact significantly smaller than the head of a normal I-dog

My 12 year old son asked for this, wasn't sure what it was. I think it is better than the I-Dog, they clip it to their pants or shirt and carry it around easier than the I-dog or other speaker device for the ipod's.

this pooch passed my expectations. the sound quality is really good for the size of it! it is almost as good as the idog dance and is better than the ipod soft speaker. i would recommend it.

I bought this to use while running. i don't like earbuds because you sometimes can't hear approaching vehicles. I saw this originally in a toy store but when I returned it was gone. I think this is great.

Gave this as a gift to a teen. She loved it. Inexpensive and appealing to the always challenging teen crowd. Can't go wrong here.

I have three daughters, and my older two each received one of the bigger iDogs to go with their MP3 players last year. My 3 year old loved them, so for Christmas this year, she got this (much cheaper) version and a Barbie Girl MP3 player. I really didn't pay attention to the sound quality at all, I was just happy that I found a good compromise for her so she could feel included with the big kids. A few days after Christmas, my husband's MP3 speaker broke, and he borrowed her's for a little a bit so he could listen to his music while working. He said the sound quality was actually decent. It wouldn't blow the roof off the house or anything, but for just listening to music in a room, it was good. It's held up really well when you take into account that it's owned by a 3 1/2 year old. She loves it, and uses it to listen to music every night at bedtime, and in the car. And I also like that we don't have to deal with headphones or earbuds on her little ears. My only complaint would be the clip. It doesn't really grasp tightly, and therefore doesn't hold well. We rarely use it. Otherwise, I really like the product!
