"not bose quality" in the other review could mean different things depending upon how you feel about bose...

it's a cute plushy speaker with lights and a little pocket to hold your mp3 player. the battery amped sound is totally acceptable and frankly, you're playing mp3 music. i hope you're not looking for some audiophile quality sound. the important thing is that my 8 year old kid loves it. she knows what the flashing lights mean (i don't). sometimes, wearing headphones is just a hassle and if you're going to get a decent portable speaker for kids, might as well get this one.

I bought this as a christmas gift and the boy just loved it, he plays with it all the time. thanks for offering it, I couldn't get it anywhere else and I always know I can find it and recieve it on time with Amazon!

The speaker is crap. But my kid loves it. Don't buy this expecting to hear Bose quality, It's a tiny, little speaker that sounds like a tiny, little speaker.

The lights are pretty cool, though.

And like I said, my kid loves it, and his brother has asked for one, too. So there must be something right with it.

It is by far my daughter's favorite gift this year for christmas. Thank goodness amazon had it because nobody else did locally!

My little girl really wanted a dancing i-pod speaker which this one says it is but when we got it christmas morning she was very dissapointed :( The product is cute..I just wish I had known that it really did not move!

I bought the i-dog for my granddaughter to use with her i-phone since the product was called i-dog. I found it will not work with the i-phone4. It does work with a standard music player.

While the IDog soft speakers are cute, they are not as advertised by the manufacturor. The I Dog soft speakers do not in fact move at all. It's basically a stationary stuffed animal that plays music. It would be fine as sort of a novelty gift idea - the speakers aren't very loud but the sound is pretty clear. It's a decent size and it seems to be sturdy enough for children to actually play with. I would recommend this product unless you have your heart set on a dancing I Dog.

We bought an i-Dog soft speaker for our 6yr old last year and it has proven so nice that we bought this one for our, now 5-yr old. The i-Dog is easy to use and able to hook-up to generic MP3 players via the headphone jack. This toy has no educational value in itself however, we have loaded some digitally recorded stories on the player. Our son will carry it around the house playing music. We do not have to worry about issues with headphones such as having the volume too high or tangling wires. The toy starts up with a couple cute barks and the softly glowing lights on the forhead continue to alternate based on the music. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for speakers fit for children.
