5.0 out of 5 stars My Kids Are Doing Better, October 30, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iFlora Probiotics for Kids 2.1 Ounces (Powder) (Health and Beauty)
I am not a doctor. I am just a mom who cares about her kids like most moms out there. Once I started administering the "iFlora Probiotics For Kids Powder" as per the instructons on the bottle, my kids illnesses dropped to just some simple coughs and sniffles. I also noticed that my kids recovered faster. Someone who works in the healthcare field, suggested that I add the Colostrum formula "Transfer Factor Classic" (one capsule a day per child) to the "iFlora Probiotics For Kids Powder". She told me that the combination has kept the kids in her family healthy. I started my kids on the combination, as per her suggestion, and the results have been even better. By this time, last year, my kids had been out of school about three times (a total of about 7 days each). This year, thus far, they have not been out of school. Also, for some reason, their attention span has improved since I added the Colostrum formula "Transfer Factor Classic". I've also thrown in a good children's multi-vitamin (B.J's Children's Multivitamin) to their diet for good measure.

UPDATE on October 15, 2009: If you can't afford either type of supplements for your kids, you may want to consider the cheaper alternatives for kids. They are out there, and probably just as good. I've switched to cheaper children's brands of the probiotic/acidophilus and colostrum. They work well, and my children continue to do well health-wise. Which one's did I switch to? Nature's Way Primadophilus for Kids (cherry flavor), and KAL Dinosaur Colossal Colostrum (chocolate).

4.0 out of 5 stars we like it, November 5, 2007

We mix it with rice milk and the kids don't even taste it. It's one of the only probiotics that is dairy free for kids.

I love this product. I discovered it when my newborn needed a probiotic due to a anti-fungal med he was on. I chose this one, since I was exclusively breastfeeding and wanted something allergen free. This is a high quality probiotic and it was easy to mix with breast milk in a bottle. I have continued to use this brand with both my four and two years olds, and still love it. I combine it with a little rice milk, or place in their oatmeal with no issues. I'm glad to have found this great product!

My son has serious food allergies. He is also extremely picky. This product has been a positive addition to his "healthy gut arsenal". We mix it in water.

My daughter had to be on pure formula when she was 2 months old for about a week because I was hospitalized and unable to breastfeed her. She had horrible constipation and would cry and scream until we would give her a suppository. I remember my sister in law suggested this probiotic that her pediatrician told her to give her baby, so I bought it! Within 4 days, el was going poo like a normal baby, she was happier and less gassy too! This stuff is wonderful! I will suggest it to anyone, and it's worth a try for colicky babies too! Just add it to pumped breastmilk or formula!

We have been using this probiotic for a couple of years at the direction of a nutritionist. It is one of the few on the market that is dairy-free which is what we need.

I was advised about this product and since my daughter is going to pre-school, I find it very important she's heathly and doesn't get anyone sick. She's been on the product for about 6 weeks and doing great!
