The product is a replacement cable that will work no better and no worse than a regular iPhone/iPad/iTouch cable. It's just shorter -- a LOT shorter. If you use it to connect a Mac laptop and an iPad, it will work EXACTLY like any other equivalent cable. Or if you connect the iPad charging cube, it will work fine for all these devices. I have used it to back up both my iPhone 3GS and my iPad 2.
If you have a type of charger that will not charge an iPad when used with a regular cable, then this one will not magically work. It's just a cable.
But it's short, real short. So as far as I'm concerned, it's a very small backup cable that I have on my keychain so I'll have one if I forget my regular cable. The regular cable is easier to use because you can move your laptop around and not worry about an iPad dangling off it. Also, it is not as heavy duty as a regular cable. I doubt it would last as long as a regular cable under heavy daily use.
But the KeyJuice works great for what it is and I'm ordering another one for my wife.

Just got this. I'm concerned about the cable connecting the two parts, specifically how attached it is on the inside of each of the pieces. Would love it if this stays together. If it's like all other Apple 30-pin connectors of any brand, it won't last long.
There are a few companies making these keychain charge cables. This one is solidly constructed. I wouldn't use it as a primary due to the odd shape and short cable, but it's always going to be there if I need it.

Unless you can set your phone right next to the power source it's a little useless.Published 10 months ago by Brandon
