was a little worried because the price seemed too good to be true

I've had an i-Go charger for years. My hubby bought it for me after the latest cell phone upgrade made yet another car charger obsolete, and also so I could charge my Palm in the car (which shows just how long this has been). Back then he paid close to $40 for the charger and the tips were about $8-$10 each, but it was well worth it when it could easily be adapted to my changing electronic products- ipods, kindles, etc. and only required this one cord. It seemed the perfect solution and it got used daily... and then it died. :( So I was surprised it wasn't as easy to replace as I thought it would be, and when I saw it here for less than $5, it was like what's the catch?!? And when it showed up in a basic plastic bag instead of the clamshell packing like the last time, I was dubious. But, it works fine, all of my tips fit exactly as before, so I am once again charged up and ready to go. And yes, other reviewers were right, if you were used to the green backlight as it was charging, it is now blue...
UPDATE: 6/2/2013... Guess it was too good to be true. Starting last week, I kept hearing the "ding" it usually makes when it first starts charging all the time. Checking my iphone, the charge signal wasn't on. If you wiggled the cord just right it might click back on, but would go off even if you didn't disturb it. Didn't want to mess around and possibly short out a phone over a $5 cord, so I am changing my advice to don't buy.
