I absolutely love it!! I wasn't sure if it'd work with my iphone to play music off of but it works great. The sound is wonderful. I also hook it up to my comp if I'm watching a movie on it for a surround sound kind of experience and it's super nice. The remote is very very handy too. It's worth the price. I'd recommend to anyone. =)

Speakers sounded great for PC and for iTouch. Flaw in design is synch button on back of left speaker - awkward to get to. Kind of big and clunky speakers as well, but sound was very good. However, afrer 8 months - they are stuck in synch mode (even unplugging wont get the off it, left unpligged for a day) and of course, in syching mode, no sound. So these are now two lovely paperweights serving no purpose on my desk - this is three products by iHome that have gone absolutely useless in my house (2 generations of ihome clock radios dont charge my itouch and now the desktop speaks are also toast - almost $300 of worthless stuff in as many years - wont be buying again!!!

My son was looking for a decent set of IPod dock speakers (for his IPod Touch)as an Xmas present. After searching many retail stores and everything Amazon had to offer, I settled on these, mainly because they appeared to be the beefiest speakers without unnecessary items such as an FM radio (the IPod has one) or an alarm clock...just speakers. My son is extremely pleased with the sound quality (and I can confirm since I can hear them throughout the house). The set up was very simple, the remote is simple and effective. Bass response is quite good for their size and, especially, the price. He hasn't used the ITunes sync feature, so I'm unable to comment on that feature. I would recommend these to anyone who simply wants decent portable, affordable speakers for their IPod.

I love the form and function of these speakers - they were exactly what I needed: Computer speakers that provided a charging and sync dock for an ipod. The fact that you can play the ipod through the speakers was an added bonus.

The reason for the 1 star review is that I've now owned 2 sets of these speakers, and they're both broken. Both times, after a few weeks of use, I turned them off (via the power switch on the right speaker) and they wouldn't turn back on again. When I turned the speakers off every time prior to that, there was a loud pop. Apparently iHome couldn't be bothered to add in a circuit that would keep the electronics from getting fried when you turn the speakers off. This is some terrible engineering.

Please don't make my mistake and assume that you might not get a bad pair of speakers. You'll just be throwing money away when these nice speakers die on you.

Handy, remote works well, sometimes iTunes forgets my iPod is docked. I finally discovered I just have to push the sync button on the back of the docking speaker to re-establish the link. Sound is good

I bought this IHome IH70 to take with me on trips, not to replace my computer Yamaha Sound System.
I am a music fanatic playing everything from Pop, Country, Jazz, Classics, Buddha to Folklore. So I was
very concerned how this IH70 would stack up to my criteria. It didn't meet my highs and lows I wanted, but to be honest it's the best sounding small speaker system, portable enough, I have purchased so far, especially when considering the price. It has great natural average tones and doesn't sound tiny as some others. I wouldn't recommend it as a PC sound system replacement, unless it had an option to purchase a Woofers to bring out the bass. Maybe iHome will make Woofer Box someday.
If price is a concern and your budget minded then this IH70 won't disappoint you.

The Con: The iPod Doc Connector comes with 4 little small inserts to fit various sizes of iPods. The manual requests that you remove the skin from your iPod. That would be a real pain to do each time one wants to use the IH70. So I tried it with the insert. The insert doesn't allow the iPod to lower itself far enough, so it won't play with the insert. After removing the insert the iPod sits properly and plays with the skin intact.
With the insert removed, I inspecting the seating. The pod has no wiggle room left to right and appears to sit solid front to back, so I can't find a reason why you can't leave the silicon skin on, unless your cover is extra thick. And also the reason I deducted a star.

In final, telling by the weight of each speaker, their not cheaply made speakers. A Great Value if you need to play music at low volume, and don't want to wake your neighbors. You can't beat the price for the quality, an exceptional value. And comes with a Remote control, with 19 buttons to do whatever you wish.

I have had these speakers for a few days now, and so far I am very happy with them. At first I was looking for an IPOD dock that included a cd player. Most were in the $100 plus price range. I then decided to get just a regular dock and try to output my computer to them, and use the cd in there. Then I found these speakers. From the description, they looked to be the perfect solution. They're essential computer speakers, so setup is very easy. Within a few minutes I was rocking out to some Thin Lizzy and April Wine. I think the sound quality is very good. I love how the speakers plug into the computer with a USB cable and you can sync your device while it is docked. You just hit a button in the back and it starts. If you don't hit the sync button again, it stays in sync mode, which means if you reopen Itunes it will sync again. Hitting the button again when done takes it out of sync mode. Not a hassle, just something to get use to. It also has an extra aux input for an additional device. These speakers are a great solution and definitely worth the price.

I bought the speakers as a gift to my brother and out of the box they did not work and he had to ship them back to iHome. I also own the speakers myself but shortly after I purchased them for my brother they too died. They lasted about 2 years.

These speakers sound great. All features work as advertised, and all the cables needed to connect to your computer are included. Listen to your iPod music and control volume and song selection with remote control from across the room without turning on your computer. The remote gives you full control of the iPod menus, but you have to be close enough to read the iPod screen.

Item arrived without a power cord. I called the company who told me that because of the price I paid (about $38) I would have to pay for a power cord! Then they told me that the cord was $21.95 and the only way to get it was to send them a money order. I will never buy from iHome again and plan to tell all of the people I know to avoid them.
