This keyboard feels very cheap and looks like it.

I am not exactly sure what to do to fix my problem, but I am going to have to buy a new keyboard for sure.

While they sell brands other than Apple, they do not sell the iHome.

I needed a keyboard with a numeric keypad to replace the one that came with my new iMac. The Apple brand was too wide and the iHome width was perfect for my keyboard drawer. I've purchased other iHome products and have been pleased with them. However, this keyboard was unusable and I returned it. While the size and general quality were okay, most of the keys either stuck or did not make contact while typing. I should have checked Apple's website prior to buying the keyboard. While they sell brands other than Apple, they do not sell the iHome.

I'm a fossil who learned to type at 80 correct words per minute in the middle of the last century, using machines that were separated only two degrees from being boat anchors.

Truthfully, those Royal relics from long ago put this millennial streamlined goodness to shame. First of all, typing requires the same amount of key pressure as the old manuals did, and that pressure better land dead center on the overly large keys, or the results are nothing but strings of gibberish. Additionally, if one's fingernails are longer than a gnat's eyelash, then the perfectly flat keys are slippery. Worse, the space bar is so unresponsive that it requires thumping, instead of tapping, and after I've typed a couple e-mail messages, my wrist aches.

This woeful tale was created from a dire need for a new keyboard, and I told my daughter, who is a sophisticated computer user, who uses the various command functions, to pick one that she would like, and I would use my Prime account to buy it. I assumed she had read the reviews, but she hadn't. Big oops. Regardless, my blood pressure meds aren't up to handling the added stress, so it doesn't matter what path we took to reach this disappointment; however, I'm not going to ship it back. Instead, I'll absorb the cost and make a positive contribution to humanity by removing it from the realm of re-sale when I toss it in the garbage on my way to the store to buy a better one. For someone as frugal as I, disposing of it altogether serves to underscore the deficiency of this lethargic underachiever.

In summary, because a mouse suits my computer use needs, I can't attest to how well the command functions work, but if it's important to type at a rate faster than four correct words per minute, without stirring up carpal tunnel syndrome, then this product definitely is not for you.

I bought one of these and immediately took it back (not from this vendor - bought at a Staples store). The keys do not connect well so you have to hit the keys hard and multiple times to get them to actually work. Disappointment.

I need to be able to type quickly and with little error for my job and this has been the most miserable keyboard I've ever used. Not only are some of the keys difficult to push down, it sounds like you are pounding the keys with the loudest clickity clack sound known to man. The number pad is a great feature, however is ruined completely when the key won't press all the way down resulting in calculation errors.

I'm kind of a keyboard collector. I got this on sale and loved the way it looks (almost exactly like an apple keyboard) but I'm having a very hard time using it and thinking of returning it. The keys stick. I type thousands of words every day, and can't spend an hour of my day deleting extra letters.

Much less "smooth" with keystrokes than my original keyboard. Also the iHome doesn't have the handy USB ports (left and right) as does the original keyboard. I doubt I'll use the iHome keyboard ever again unless my old one totally fails--have worn off some of the keyboard lettering from heavy use!

First off I apologize for any spelling mistakes - I'm typing this on this keyboard and with the non-functional and sticking keys it's difficult. And that says it all really - I've had this for 5 days and it's useless.

Fortunately, I didn't pay for it: I actually ordered the version with the USB ports, and twice Amazon sent the wrong one (right box, wrong product) so in the end they just refunded my money and told me to keep this keyboard. So hurrah for Amazon, but boo for this keyboard.

I thought this would be a good back up keyboard
Unfortunately it is really not very good at all
problems:
1) MAC computer's (or at least mine which running the latest operating system) won't sense it correctly
2) USB ports badly placed (in back not on side as in apple keyboard)
3) Function keys only have F# not the icon to tell you what it does - OK for keys you use all the time
but not when you have to recall less frequently used ones!

on balance not so good - get the apple keyboard
