The detailed description on the product page is a very accurate reflection of this clock. The sound is great for an alarm clock. There's a dimmer button on the remote and on the top of the unit, so if you need to turn it all the way to off to sleep it's not a hassle to turn it back on when you wake up. The alarm starts out pretty quiet and gets progressively louder-you'd have to be a VERY hard sleeper for it not to wake you up. It also will play AND charge a 4th generation ipod without an adapter (there were no adapters in the box). The main functions of the clock are pretty easy to figure out, but you might need the instructions from the box to learn how to use all of them. Also, you do have to manually set time, but there is a handy switch on the back for daylight savings time. The battery backup takes 2 AA batteries, so you can use rechargeable ones. There's supposed to be a warning light that comes on when the batteries are low.

If you want a decent speakers/alarm for a small room, this one is for you. You can choose between a Harley motorcycle's sound and your iPod/iPhone to wake up. I have the iPhone 4 with the latest iOS and it works very well. I read some review about malfunction of the iPhone 4 with this unit, and I must say that there is no problem if you have updated your iPhone. As somebody said, it's a little hard to see the display that is behind the plastic cover of the main speaker. About the remote, well, it is small but if you are not at a large distance does the job.

In the rear there are inputs for auxiliar audio via 3.5 mm cable, and for the AC adapter. There is too a button that changes to the summer time.

The sound is clear and the bass is good, obviously keeping in mind what you paid for this stylish unit, I bought 2 of them for 40 bucks each, even with 10 or 20 bucks more I think is a good price, but if you can have it by 40, it's a good deal. The design evokes the front of a Harley, and there is the biggest problem I found: there is a removable and adjustable stand where the iPod/iPhone rests; I was moving some clothes and a sweater stucked with it, I pull the clothes and the unit fell. When I picked up from the floor, I realize that the unit was in good condition, even without scratches, but the speakers at both sides were followed. I tried to fix them, and they are now ok, but I realize how fragile are they, because the area of contact is the base of the speakers, with only a little piece of plastic of the size of a screw, and a screw, that hold it to the base of the unit. Even before the unit fell, I realize that you have to hold the unit carefully when you move it, you CANNOT take it from one of the small speakers because you can broke it easily.

I know that broke the speakers was all my fault, and that's why I put 5 stars to the speakers, I just advise you about the fragility of the small speakers at both sides. Hope this could help you.

Nice sound to the speakers, charges and plays my ipod nano, like the Harley revs as opposed to the alarm. Got it on sale and feel like I got a great deal at Amazon.

This works with my Ipod classic 6th generation 80GB (the case can stay on, while docking) and my brother's brand new Ipod touch. It has great sound for such a compact speaker system and the remote is a great bonus. The only thing I have to complain about is that the remote doesn't always work, so sometimes i have to remove the battery and put it back in. I have not had to actually replace the battery yet though, so it's just a minor annoyance. This speaker system also sounds a lot better than most compact iHome alarm clock/docks. Personally, I think it sounds a bit better than my old, bulky Teac speaker system as well.

One more thing though, in order to make this speaker system play the wake up alarm that you set on you ipod, you have to dock it, and make sure that the ipod symbol is present on the orange-lit display (the display is quite dim and won't bother you at night). Otherwise, the alarm will not go off in the morning. For me, this meant that I had to dock the ipod and leave it paused all night, instead of using the off button. I hope this helped.

Just picked this up at the local discount store for $39.99. Great deal. Good sound, charges the iPhone, has a remote. Meets our every need and it works with our iPhone 4's and my son's third generation iPod Touch.l

I am a Harley fan so I really had high hopes for this unit. I was very pleased, it looks great, sounds great, and all the features work as described. It even works with my Iphone 4, not sure what the other commenter was referring to. My only complain is that I would have liked a radio on it as well, but realize I rarely listen to the radio anyway. Anyway, I highly recommend this to any Harley fan that need a convenient way to listen and charge their Ipod/Iphone and wants to combine it with an alarm clock. Way to go.

I would never have paid full price for this thing. The sound quality is alright but it's definitely not a $129 value product. I bought it when it was $39.99 and still cringe at that, but the alternatives were even higher.

When I first bought this I wasn't quite sure how well it would be for the price I paid for it. After it got here and we played with it we instantly realized that it was well worth the money and more. So not only did we get one for your bedroom we also went ahead and bought another one for downstairs. Should have known anything with the Harley emblem on it is great so this would be too. Yes we did buy another and we bought it right after my husband got home from his year long deployment, in June 2011. Well here it is November 2011 and already the dock where the ipod goes stopped working. It wont play our ipod or charge it or anything. So I will never spend this kind of money again for something to only work 5 months.

I can't return this thing, because My wife iphone 3GS
But my iphone 4 still charging on the desk.

This alarm clock fit everything I was looking for. It's a lot of fun.
