The iH64 charges, plays, and syncs your iPod with iTunes while it's docked securely in the base. The iH64 is designed with high-fidelity Reson8 speaker chambers, providing premium stereo power output when listening to your iPod or computer audio. Play, Charge, and Sync Your iPod
The iH64 will play and charge most docking iPod models, so you can enjoy your music while your device charges. Get up and go with a full charge.

A computer port (connected via the included USB cable) and sync switch are included for syncing your iPod with iTunes.

Reson8 Stereo Sound
The iH64 boasts two stereo speakers with Reson8 speaker technology. Reson8 is iHome's through-body ported speaker chamber technology. Porting speakers gives better bass response characteristics, and helps the iH64 deliver big sound in a small package.

I purchased this as a gift for my mother. She has an iPod Nano 3rd Generation that she only listens to while driving. She has a lot of audiobooks on the Nano, but she would rather not walk around the house with her headphones on to listen, so I thought I'd pick this up for her so that she could listen at home (instead of just in the car). It was priced right and I thought I couldn't go wrong with an iHome. Every hotel I frequent seems to have an iHome and it sounds great! I bought a few different iHomes as gifts to my brother and daughter - and both are very happy.

The box comes with the speakers, power adapter, audio cables, sync cable, ipod adapters, and color customizations. It was very simple to set up. When her Nano is in the iHome, it charges by default. You can either have this set plugged in, or choose to operate on batteries. We chose to plug it in.

The system looks very modern and sounds pretty decent for a smaller set. We definitely got MORE than our money's worth on this. We are very happy with this purchase and recommend this set.

I gambled on this units for the $14 price tag that it would work with my 3rd generation touch. I asked and looked and no comments so thought I had better post. It plays and charges my 3rd generation touch just fine. A little lacking on the bass but a great set-up for the kitchen or a bedroom - especially for $15 (NYS tax :().

My home is filled with iPod docks. I like to have one in each room that I spend any amount of time in. Yes they are portable and I could move them around, but most I have purchased on sale and it just made sense to get them. I also don't use this with my computer as many do, I only wanted this for playing music around the home.

As for the iHome iH64BA Multimedia Stereo Speakers wth Dock for iPod, here are my pros and cons.

Pros:
~ Decent sound quality. Not for a large room, but works great in my bathroom and kitchen.
~ Portable. If I were to want to move it, it's not an issue.
~ Customizable speaker accent colors. Stay with the basic black or add on pink or blue.
~ Charges my iPod as it's playing.
~ Power using the included AC adapter or on the go with 4 AAA batteries.

Cons:
~ Feels a little cheap. Made of a lightweight plastic.
~ Fluctuating price here on Amazon. I've seen it as low as $14 and as high as $30. (Doesn't effect my overall rating)
