I bought this for my husband so he could listen to his ipod while working or barbecuing etc. It is very light weight (what do you want for such a cheap price!) and portable. You don't need to find a plug to use it. The draw backs are the sound quality isn't great and the volume doesn't go very high, at least on the one I bought. I don't know if that is a flaw or not because the other reviews didn't mention it as a draw back. All that said, I will probably buy myself one because for voice listening (I like to listen to the Bible while I cook/clean) it would be great!

We bought this for my brother for Christmas he wanted a portable speaker for his i pod. I think the take home message is that, "you get what you pay for" It is super easy to use, light compact, and fits the ipod perfectly. Also, it comes with a screen protector which would come in handy if you are using it by your bar-b-que or pool.
The sound quality isn't amazing and the volume output is a little lower than I would have liked it. If you have a skin on your nano you have to take it out of the skin to load it. The last con I could think of is that it doesn't charge your ipod while it is in the dock. All in all a good by for the price.

Product is designed for 1st generation nano and works just as I expected. Sound quality is decent given it's small size and serves the purpose I intended.

These speakers are just what I wanted. Something inexpensive that has decent sound quality. Of course for $15 you can't expect amazing bass and super clear treble, but for what it was made for, I think they are great. The sound is definitely a little tinny on the highs, but I was expecting that. I like that the speakers very portable and it even came with batteries. It actually goes pretty loud, too (quality suffers the louder you go). I was surprised.

My Nano (1G) was easy to take out of the speaker case when I needed to. It has a little catch release that pops it up and you can just flip it upside down if it doesn't come out far enough to grab it.

A technical note: it says it's for 1G and 2G Nanos. There was a note in the box talking about 5G that may have problems with the speakers (a software upgrade to the iPod is needed) so I assume it's good for that generation, too, but don't quote me on that. This unit is battery operated only, too; there is no AC adapter or even a plug where one could go.

Also, be sure to take the film off the speakers themselves before playing. I actually wouldn't have noticed there was protective film on them if there hadn't been a little warning sticker on one side.

Bottom line, I'd buy it again because it was what I was looking for and I'd recommend it to a friend looking for an inexpensive portable speaker system for their Nano.

This item is perfect for what I need. I wanted to be able to listen to my nano at my desk at work or take it with me on the deck while I was relaxing without having to wear my headphones and feel like I was isolated from the word. LOVE IT!

I could put it with my ipod because my ipod is thrid generation. SO I dont know how this works.

Was not the right speaker for my Ipod, It should have been better label that it was for an older model, It was a waste of my money.

Too small to be anything but a toy, but my kid likes it so I'm happy.
