I just purchased "iJet wireless remote with bottom dock". Overall it seems pretty nice. It is really nice to be able to pause/play my iPod from across the room, or even in a different room. This simply wasn't possible with any IR remove I tried. The RF remote is great.

One minor annoyance I have noticed is that the remote buttons seem a little unresponsive at times. It seems I have to click firmly and hold just momentarily to affect the iPod. A quick click feels like it should work, but it doesn't, at least not for me. It's fine, but it surprised me a little. I thought it wasn't working at first.

My greatest disappointment was to find out that it only controls the headphone audio levels, as opposed to the line-level outputs through the dock connector. I am surprised this is not explained anywhere on their web site (which doestn' say very much). I saw "Connect your iPod to your stereo and control it from anywhere up to 150 ft away!" and assumed it would work w/ my home iPod dock (w/ S-video out, etc.), which it does, *except* for the volume control. To their credit, they do include a stereo RCA/Phono cable (and several remote clips), but unfortunately for me the headphone signal levels don't match the available inputs on my stereo.

Overall I'm satisfied, and impressed with the combination of RF and dock pass-through aspects. For stand-alone iPod use (in a backpack or whatever) it seems like it would be really nice (it even works when the "hold" switch is enabled on the iPod). I'm a bit disappointed about the lack of line-level/dock audio control.

Nice quality workmanship, the buttons work smoothly and as described. Unfortunately, the transmitter is very wide and covers the output jack on not only my iPod Touch, but also my iPod Nano 4th generation, which is what I purchased this for. Although the packaging and advertised uses say it's compatible with the iPod Nano, it is not compatible with the iPod Nano 4th Generation. I wish it was, this is a great remote and the pass-through feature on the transmitter for syncing and charging is a great extra.

Most of the commands are not working with my iPod (5th generation with video). I order this remote, as I used to have one 2-3 years back and it worked fantastically than, but I lost the part with controls.
Half of the commands for the new iJet are not there, which renders it unusable for me.

What is not working:
-Instead Volume Up it's moving to Shuffle mode
-Instead Previous song - not working at all
-Long Fast Forward is doing nothing.

The bad part is - Kellards, which were the supplier for Amazon, told me at the end (after one month waiting time after I returned the device, and after remind them with e-mail), that this remote control is not for my generation of the iPod. But again - I used the same device several years back. It looks the same externally, but obviously the functionality was lost on the way.

LOVE this remote. Plugs right into the bottom of my 80gb Ipod Classic, remote gets strapped to my left wrist above my leathers. Buttons are easy to push in gloves. Can change the songs and turn it up/down easily while riding and maintaining throttle. Best to load up a good playlist.

Pros- Easy to use, buttons easy to push, pretty reliable
Cost - $$$ (but worth it), sometimes you have to push the button twice but not often, and remote needs to be reset few times a year (hold all the buttons down for 60 seconds, easy).

I recommend them to all bikers and anyone using their ipod for sports so you don't have to take the ipod out to change songs, play/pause or turn it up/down. Love it!

This remote works great through walls,clothes and anything else in its way.I own two of these and have given them away as gifts.I also use this unit to control the system on my bicycle thats tucked away in a box.

I bought this remote because it was the cheapest one I could find. I got what I paid for. This remote remote only works when it wants too. It covers up the head phone jack on my iPod when it is plugged in, which is the only jack that you can use and control the volume. I wish I would have spent a little more and gotten a remote that worked better.

The iJet remote worked well but I had not realized that it would block the headphone jack on my iPod Touch (3rd gen). I had to return it as my primary purpose for buying it was to use it while riding my motorcycle. I ordered the iJet Nav which had the same functionality but did not block the headphone jack. Overall the iJet products are well made and function as advertised. A little better description would help to save on returns.

I bought this device to be able to control the music on my iPhone while riding my motorcycle. This thing works perfectly. It does take a little monkeying with up front to figure out the correct sequence before you are able to use it, but once it's on, it's great. Every once in a while, you have to press the button more than once, but, it really isn't that big a deal. Great product!

I have a previous generation of the iJET that is good but this new one is even better. It is a little larger and comes with a belt clip that makes it more convenient to use. The sound is excellent. We use it in performances to control music. Most people would find it easy to control their IPod at home from room to room at the touch of a button.

ASTROTURF WARNING: The 5-star reviews by "Tim Stevenson," "J. Lopez," and "D. Wallar Don" are shills for this product. Look at all of their identical "see all my reviews" lists -- they all reviews the exact same items which he is likely the manufacturer or seller.
