4.0 out of 5 stars Quite Pleased
I have an iPod Nano 4G and was a bit hesitant about ordering this product since the Amazon info doesn't list the Nano 4G as a compatible product. The iLive site doesn't say anything about his model (probably discontinued). But, considering the price, I thought it was worth a risk since it was shown as working with the newest Classic.

As it turns out, it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Looks nice, works terribly.
While this alarm clock looks nice and shiny, it actually works terribly. The round volume and tuning buttons on the top are imprecise, feel cheap, and difficult to use. The AM/FM radio in this alarm clock is also sub-standard. Whether it was the knobs or the radio itself is hard to say, but I couldn't get a fix on a station. The AM/FM radio in this alarm clock is also sub-standard. Whether it was the knobs or the radio itself is hard to say, but I couldn't get a fix on a station. The final blow is that the radio I received failed within 12 hours of me owning it and had to be returned. All in all, a terrible, disappointing purchase.

As it turns out, it is fully functional with my iPod and really seems to be a pretty good product. The display is backlit and has three different brightness settings. The only complaint I have is that the radio tuning knob is really stiff and hard to adjust precisely to the desired frequency. The controls are easy to figure out and the sound is actually pretty good for the price, especially with the bass boost turned on.

So far I am very pleased with this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars great clock for a great price, December 12, 2008

I simply wanted a good ipod compatible alarm clock, and this works just fine. The one I received is black, and it's very easy to set up. It works just fine, and it's a reliable alarm clock. I'm not sure what happened with the previous reviewer, but this item works just fine for me!

Price is right and sound is ok but the radio tuner control is awkward. But then I bought it for the iPod interface. The buttons are a bit confusing as each one does several things and the markings are hard to see - just pressed into the glossy black surface.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality, poor sound, poor everything, February 2, 2010
This review is from: iLive CI3807 Dual Alarm Clock with iPod Dock (Black) (Electronics)
Sound quality is bad. Tuner is analog - very hard to tune-in radio stations. Overall, the system has a very cheap feel. The light from the display is incredibly bright, even after adjusting the dimmer - had to turn the clock to face the wall. The display would not show radio stations after the first day (defective) - returned it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Product, June 2, 2009
This review is from: iLive CI3807 Dual Alarm Clock with iPod Dock (Black) (Electronics)
I got this ipod alarm clock for my mom for mothers day. She is not good at technological stuff and so I was hoping this would be good for her. It is a little confusing to figure out (I do not read directions, I just wing it) but eventually we figured it out. The display is a little weird in the way that it dims instead of staying bright all the time as most alarm clocks. Though overall, I do think this is a good product to have to wake up to in the morning.

Worked well for a while. Then it just suddenly stopped turning on. It's low quality, but you get what you pay for I guess. There's lots of attachments for various sized ipods which is nice. The screen doesn't dim low enough for my bedroom at night so we had to put it in the living room. The antenna is one of those annoying string antennae which seem to always get in the way of stuff. Don't like some of the features and functions on it. Of course, I didn't get to check it out long enough before the power stopped on it. Batteries wouldn't work either. Bust.

1.0 out of 5 stars Inferior product at an inflated price, July 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iLive CI3807 Dual Alarm Clock with iPod Dock (Black) (Electronics)
The display was horribly scratched and hazy. The display's blue light is too bright at night even in the dim mode.

The ipod plastic connector docks are all too small or warped, so the IPods won't fit securely.

A dismal product at an inflated price. Avoid at all costs.

Sound is mediocre at best but with all the other system flaws, it doesn't matter .

Don't believe the photo. The product looks better than it is.

The controls are flimsy plastic. A slight turn moves the FM Dial from almost one end to the other making it hard
to tune.

The other controls feel flimsy and likely to fall off.
