This compact unit (only 13.5 in long, 3.3 in wide, and 5.3 in tall) gives you 2-channel dockig for digital audio players and incorporates Apple™ certified jacks for direct connection with and built-in charging for iPod™, Mini, and Nano. Or you can use the stereo line-in jack and included stereo line-in cord for iPod Shuffle(TM) or GPX or other audio players. The speakers work fine for an office, when they work. My first unit burned out after about 1 month (smell of melted plastic, volume control no longer works with the setting stuck at the loudest level). The unit was promptly replaced under warranty (90-day). The second unit only lasted about 1 week before the same thing happened. (I'm using the speakers with an iPOD mini and have the unit plugged into a surge protector.) At this point, shipping costs for warranty replacement have totaled more than 1/2 the unit cost.

This is perfect for using my iPod in the office (and it charges it while I'm listening which I love). Decent quality sound for the price. I have been very happy with it until this week (almost 3 months after receiving it) when the remote stopped working properly. Everything works except the Play/Pause button (which also turns the power off and on). So now I have to move it so that it's within arm's reach in order to pause it when necessary. That's very annoying and makes the remote almost useless. I am very disappointed at that. I thought it might be the battery but I just replaced it and it didn't help.

EDITED TO ADD: I contacted the company to express my unhappiness with the faulty remote and they sent me another remote at no charge. So I must say they have good customer service, and I am happy that I have one that works now.

EDITED AGAIN TO ADD: Oh the new remote doesn't work very well. Sometimes it works to pause or turn off and on. Most of the time only the volume works. So much for that.

Volume control stopped working the morning after we unpacked it. Now it works only on high, with lots of static. I wasn't expecting much sound quality at this price point, but this product is ridiculously shoddy.
