I bought two of these boom boxes(pink and purple) for my granddaughters for Christmas to go with their new ipod nanos. They both loved them instantly. The boom boxes are very modern and stylish and provide portable speakers for on-the-go preteens without being bulky and awkward to carry. When plugged in to an outlet, they are also a convenient recharging station so their ipods stay charged and ready for use. Great product.

We have two of these for our children. I think the iLive Boom Box beats all other boom box/ipod docking systems out there simply because it works great does it for less money than any other box out there.

The radio is good quality as far as sound goes. When docking the i-pod, you had to turn the sound way up to get much volume. We have an older version of this radio, and the volume is much better on that one when playing the i-pod.

If you and your family own 2 iPods, 2 iTouchs, and an iPhone, all different generations, then the ILIVE PORTABLE MUSIC SYSTEM / BOOM BOX WITH IPOD DOCKING AND RECHARGING (PURPLE) is definitely a must have!

Let's see, it all started when my 13 year old got her first iPod and my husband got an iTouch. Then I got an iPod, and the 13 year old upgraded to an iTouch using her babysitting earnings. That meant she could pass her old iPod down to her 5 year old sister. In the meantime, someone in the extended family gave us an old iPhone that they didn't want any more, and we use it as an extra gaming device. Whew. Yes, we are way over-teched at our house.

Needless to say, in our house, someone, if not multiple someones, is always looking for head phones, ear buds, or charger cords. Well, the ILIVE PORTABLE MUSIC SYSTEM / BOOM BOX WITH IPOD DOCKING AND RECHARGING (PURPLE) meets those needs for all 4 humans and all 5 of our devices. All of our various and sundry iGadgets are different generations, yet this handy little boom box charges them all, rapidly (a definite necessity at our house!). The sound quality is great, whether blasting the 13 year old's excuse for music, the 5 year old's kiddie rock, or Mom's Broadway show tunes. And it is so easy to use that even the 5 year old can plug in and recharge her iPod without supervision. She also knows exactly to the minute how long it takes to charge her device. Another bonus: the ILIVE PORTABLE MUSIC SYSTEM / BOOM BOX WITH IPOD DOCKING AND RECHARGING (PURPLE) is small and compact; it does not take up much counter space at all.

The ILIVE PORTABLE MUSIC SYSTEM / BOOM BOX WITH IPOD DOCKING AND RECHARGING (PURPLE) has been a great find for our family. It comes with a radio (pretty good reception), is easy to use (a must), and has a fantastic price. It is small and runs on wall current or C batteries, making it very portable. It certainly meets all our needs, and, at this point, I am not sure we could live without it. ;-)

This is a wonderful little radio/ipod boom box. I am using it in my baby's room and it works great. Have had it for ~6 months now. No problems. Plays clearly, and charges my ipod. I do not use the radio. I am not overly snobby about sound quality. I plug in my ipod, turn it on and the music plays, sounds great, is plenty loud and easy to use. Perfect little boom box for household use.

I bought this little boom box for the kitchen. It is easy to use, small and cute looking. Bonus is that it recharges the Ipod too. Two down sides, both having to do with sound. Don't expect to use this at a party as your music source, as sometimes I can't even get the podcast loud enough to hear in the kitchen. The volume is better with the AM/FM, but still not loud enough to use for anything more than when you're in close proximity. Strangely, some Ipod songs (happens with the Beatles for some reason) only play part of the song, leaving out the main vocals, like listening to "stereo" sound with only one speaker or ear piece. Not sure why the price has gotten so high as it was approx. $30 when I bought it. For my purposes it has worked out pretty good.

I bought this boom box for my 5-year old daughter almost a year ago, and it's been just perfect. It sits on her nightstand, and she leaves the iPod nano (my old one) docked all the time, except for when we sync it to upload new music or playlists. She has access to her music whenever she wants, and the sound is very good. This is a great option for kids with iPods!

We bought the pink version of the boombox for our 10 year old daughter for Christmas and she loves it.
Easy to use! Good Sound Quality! Light Weight! Durable enough to go in the overnight bag to friends house and survive.

This is a good little machine ... it sounds well considering the size of the speakers.
I would recommend it highly.

For the price, its pretty good. The speakers aren't very loud and it takes several C batteries. But it is cheap and portable.
