I have been VERY impressed with this software. I is very complete and very easy to use. My wife and kids love it. It was also very easy to load.

As a pastor, this is one of the best pieces of biblical software I have as of yet encountered - and best of all, it's applicable to virtually all age groups. Children will find the animations both fascinating and informative (for that matter, so will the adults), and for the more mature individual there is a goldmine of information about the Christian faith that will help you to better understand the stories in the Bible, as well as the daily life and faith practices of the people back then. I can't recommend it highly enough.

iLumina is by far the best Bible software for families. It has animations, virtual tours and videos that help you learn the Bible in unique ways. No other software does that.

Comparing iLumina with e-sword is comparing apples and oranges. Two very different propositions with very different features.
The comments posted by the reviewer mentioning e-sword are quite misleading to say the least, and do not resonate with my experince with the product.

This is by far teh best bible software available! With lots of multimedia features and study topics... Buy it! You wont regret it!

I read several web sites before purchasing this version of Ilumia. It is listed as having only CD's, but it also comes with a DVD. I was able to do a full install of this product on my laptop (and no, I do not have the premium edition). This Bible and it's contents are easy to use and navigate through. I also have the original verson of Ilumina, and this version offers much more content.

iLumina is about as close to a rip-off as can legally be had. Shortly before its debut, it was promised to the public that a significant portion of the Bible would be animated. Not so, and there has been no addition to the barely handfull of existing animations in well over 2 years.

The user interface is extremely unfriendly and has several bugs. It takes too long to load, is too slow, and in some cases requires you to modify your computer's settings to properly view animations.

iLumina's website promises that more animations and features are on the way - but nothing has ever been done, with the exception of a new "edition" coming out every year or so. Inquiries sent to iLumina regarding updates have never been responded to.

Since slapping down over $80 for the iLumina Gold package, I have discovered E-Sword, a FREE Bible study software that is feature and content rich, far superior to iLumina.
