I have had it for a few weeks, and I love it. Most of the time, it sits on my desk at work and I use it (rather than Itunes) to play music from my 30gig video iPod. The construction is solid, I have played a few DVD and one vcd That I made - and all ran fine. One nifty feature is the ability for it to simulate surround sound for different music types. One of the other reviewers lamented about poor video quality when using an iPod as the source. For those who were not aware of it, iTunes used to put out very shoddy videos, well under acceptable bitrate. About a month ago, this seems to have been resolved after all the complaints. You may have noticed the much bigger video files for TV shows for example. This is due to a higher bitrate (translation: Better quality) video. Just prior to writing this review, I tested an older video and a new one from last week with the new Higher bitrate. It made a huge difference in the quality of image on the device. If you are burning DVD to files for use, make sure to use a good bitrate, and you won't be disappointed. DVDs and CDs are very good. The device also will play burned disks of MP3 and WMA. This is a great device, The 7 inch screen is big enough to view dvd's or Ipod Video's. The picture is very clear, just make sure you record Ipod to at least 768 bit rate and I use a high resolution. As for the DVD Player it works with -/+ DVD's.

Here is the But, maybe they will upgrade with these features.

1. Allow for Ipod remote
2. Allow for Ipod video output to TV

With the added features it would be perfect 5 star

As of 2007 most of the bugs mentioned in the other reviews are fixed. The ipod fits snug as a bug in my unit and it even charges it.Youu can even find this as low as $140 or chaper. Im not sure why the bad reviews.This is a wonderful dvd player and the newer one i got even plays your ipod through your tv if you want..older versions did not allow this. You should buy this.The video quality isnt great, but good, thats why i gave it four stars instead of five It is bulky but you need room for the ipod to plug in. the only bad side is no ipod naviation from the menu. you must use the ipod itself..But being able to play your ipod and dvd through any tv with rca jacks (audio/video) is great..i can now backup my purchased ipod items to dvd since i have an eyetv250 which allows you to use your computer as a tv. the eyetv has rca jacks on the device which allows me to record it to my harddrive which i then use toast to burn my dvd..all in all its completely worth it. even as a stand alone dvd player it's great..never had the first problem

I was so excited to get this for my birthday, and then discovered the reality. First the ipod does not really fit into the slot, and when it does, connect you are contstantly battleing it moving and losing picture. sometime it goes B&W sometimes a blank screen. Definitley not worth the money, but more importantly is the company non existant customer support. When I first set it up and was having all kinds of problems, I tried to return it, and discovered that the company policy is that you can not return it except to Jwin. so Icalled them, and that was 5 months ago, I am still for them to "promptly" return my call. And I have called a total of 15 times always getting a voice mail. I tried email and after threatening a law suit I got one response, not addressing any issues, telling me to return the unit if within the 90 period (by this time it was well over 90 days.

then while using the DVD player the entire device started to smoke and the screen burned out. So now I am stuck with a player that does not do an iPod nor DVD. A complete rip off. Do not even thing of buying.

Oh did I mention that it is made of really cheap plastic, the carrying case does not really hold anything except the main unit. You can't get the recharger in, nor the head phones, nor the cables.

I've had this dvd player for almost a year, and have never had any problems with it. It is fairly bulky (especially when compared with some of the dvd-only players out there) but is perfect for my use. I use it in the car with my toddler on long trips, and it easily fits on the passenger seat headrest (I can even control the iPod from the front seat without removing it through the hole in my headrest...). I've used the player on airplanes, as well, and simply place the player on the tray table or hold it while watching. The integrated speakers work very well, especially when my toddler is not in the mood to wear headphones. I've never had any trouble playing either dvd or iPod movies out to the tv, and resolution is no worse on the player than on any full-size tv. I've also found the unit to be very durable, surviving kicks to the screen and falls on paved driveways. While I would like the unit to be a little smaller/lighter, I'm very pleased overall.

First off, the 4 stars instead of 5 is because the resolution isn't as good as I would like but a very minor issue.

Otherwise, this is absolutely the best thing since sliced bread! I've always loved the idea of having a dvd player in my vehicle but forget that if I have to buy an ugly minivan! So I drive a sedan without one and I've been looking for one that is easy in and easy out. I also wanted the car adapter/charger for extended trips. It's just so easy to pop out and bring into the motel room too so no more paying bloated prices for movies from the motel! (It does have connection cords to hook up to a tv.) Well this just fits the bill perfectly. The kids love it and I love that they have entertainment without ruining the look of my vehicle.

Another thing I absolutely love is that I can now watch a dvd or video from my iPod in bed without disturbing my husband! It comes with everything you need but the movie and you are good to go! I can let it rest in my lap or with the pull out stand I can set it on my nightstand easily and watch it. It's so blasted versatile!

The carrying bag holds everything I need to take my player where I go and has a nice adjustable shoulder strap to boot! I keep it all together and grab it as I run out the door.

I waited and waited to get what I wanted at the price I wanted and after I found the Zeon/iLuv I was never so happy in my life that I waited! My son saw it and ran out and got one too! The prices are steadily dropping and it is worth the $100 or less pricetag!

I bring this everywhere with me, the car, the airport, anywhere I'm waiting or taking trips. It has great picture quality, long battery, and nice sound. The iPod adapter makes it the best gadget ever, finally my iPod video on a larger screen!

This is a neat device and I use it quite often. It is a little bulky but all of the features make up for it.

I bought this product in mid-March, and it's already kaput. (It's May 1, 2007). It was great when it worked, but now the screen doesn't work. It just stopped working.



The good:

Great portable player to take in car and also in home.

Solid construction.



The bad:

Short screen life. Quit working with less than 90 days use.

This was a gift for my wife a few Christmas's back. She absolutely loves it and uses it on just about every lengthy road trip.
