The MobiAir works with nearly any Android smartphone or tablet on the market with stereo Bluetooth (A2DP) audio compatibility. Despite the product being advertised as compatible with an iPhone or iPod, it uses a mini USB connector and is not compatible.

This docking station is a nice step-up from the basic mini USB charge cable that comes with Android devices. The base unit feels sturdy, but the mini USB connector that swivels and slides, which is a feature so it can accommodate other Android phones / tablets, feels flimsy; Although the flimsy connector is a source of concern, everything has held up nicely.

The unit has play/pause, volume up/down, next/previous track, phone, Bluetooth, and power buttons. The Bluetooth capabilities are slightly limited in that you can only pair one device at a time, so if you have multiple devices that might be an issue, but all the multimedia buttons work great with the stock Android (4.0) media player and Pandora.

The mic on the base unit does a good job with noise cancelling, but if you move more than two feet from it, audio quality for the other party begins to deteriorate. It's a great feature for the home-office, but not overly practical in other environments where you may move around. If you're playing music and receive a phone call, the music will pause and resume once the call ends. One semi-disappointing feature is that if you hold the phone button down, one would expect the voice dialer to come up, but this instead performs a redial.

The speakers are ok, way better than the phone / tablet, but lack bass. It's great for entertaining light parties in a moderate / enclosed environment, but it won't handle the backyard as easily.
