First impression of this is that it was alot more compact than the tablet holders I've seen before. This is a good thing because it can fit around tighter spaces if you plan to use this in your car. The suction cup beneath the mount itself has a sticky layer that makes it really good for textured surfaces like a car trim.
I mount this on my center console and it works really well. There's no mechanisms that keeps my ipad mounted on - it's just by the magnets. And this makes it really easy since I can simply pull the ipad off and throw it back onto the mount once I'm done using it.
I can also still use my smart cover on my ipad.

If you can spare a bit of cash, this ipad mount is a great. I bought 2 sets of these: one at home, one in the car. Now I've got a huge big-screen GPS system just above the glove box on the passenger seat side, and another one at home next to my computer. No messing with clamps or setups, it works by putting the ipad close to the plate and it holds the ipad in place strongly. The suction cup on the bottom of the mount is also very strong since it's made of the new sticky plastic material that higher end phone holders have.

This imagnet mount was a perfect fit on the dash of my new A-class benz. There no nuts/bolts, or any fixtures to secure the mount... it's a suction (with some sticky texture) cup and it can be moved around. Unforunately, I had to remove my existing ipad cover to accommodate their cover with a metal plate so the magnet can clamp it to the mount. I set it up so that it's still within arm reach (thanks to my small A-class width!) so I can change through the different apps and still give me a clear view when I need it, say the GPS. It's a very smart idea and well implement product.

really strong
