The list author says: "This is the case that I use with my iPad (both the 2 and the new). I use a Smart Cover and a spec back case. I would love to use the Apple Smart Case but I understand the iPad slips around inside it.
I have the iPad in a stand with a keyboard at my work desk. I use an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard with my iMac, so I like using one with the iPad. The Origami case for the keyboard makes a great stand and protection for the keyboard when traveling.
I know a number of people who have a folio case with the keyboard built in. I rejected that option because I use the iPad primarily for reading. I am fine with the on-screen keyboard, too. So at meetings I like to put the iPad on the table at the slight tilt the smart cover provides, and type. That puts less of a barrier between me and the other participants. The down side is that the keyboard uses part of the screen so I can see less of the content. Your call. I am very happy with my solution."
"This makes a great desktop stand and it protects your keyboard when traveling. I leave it on my desk full-time. If I am doing a LOT of writing during a trip, I take it along. Otherwise I just use the on-screen iPad keyboard.
