Comfortable, Nice Fit, Feels True To Size, March 31, 2011
I purchased this shoe on a whim because of liking the style and it being available in my larger size. I knew almost nothing about the Ipath brand but rolled the dice because of the low price figuring that I didn't have a lot to lose even if they didn't fit.
When I received the shoes and got a first hand look at them I was impressed with the finish work. All the lines and seams looked nice and clean. I tried them on and they have a firm footbed but not wood hard like All-Stars. I decided to make it a point to try to wear these on the days that I wasn't working so I could get an idea of how comfortable they are when worn for extended periods and see how they felt once broken in. These shoes have been nothing short of impressive. I love how the footbed has remained firm but they are comfortable and my foot doesn't ache after being worn for a while.
I was so impressed that I wanted to research the company a little bit. Ipath states that they are big on producing high quality footwear with a low impact on the environment. For example, many of their shoes are constructed partially with hemp which is very strong and is a sustainable fiber that uses very little resources to grow (Ipath quote). they also use water based glues, post consumer packaging materials, and soy based ink.
All in all I was so impressed with this shoe that I felt compelled to write this review. I now own a pair of very comfortable, high quality shoes that were manufactured by a company that strives to be environmentally friendly. Ipath is the best of both worlds!
