I needed a replacement cord for my iPhone because I was using it while it was plugged in, which caused the cord to split and fray. I didn't want to pay the outrageous prices they wanted at retail stores. The price for this wall charger, including shipping, is less than half than the one I almost picked up at Best Buy. It's not a name brand item but I'm liking it more than the Apple cord/ac adapter that came with my iPhone. It's actually longer so now I can easily use my phone while it's charging, yay!
