3.0 out of 5 stars These Reviews Are Outdated! Not for 3G-S or 3.0 Software!, August 25, 2009
This review is from: iPhone For Dummies: Includes iPhone 3GS (Paperback)
I am not reviewing this book, as I have not read it. I am posting this to point out that the reviews that have been posted are not for this book. It is readily apparent that the reviews are outdated because the book is for the iPhone 3G and 3G-S. The iPhone 3G-S did not go on the markent until June of 2009, and most of the reviews pre-date that period. The 3.0 software update that was released in June of 2009 added a very significant number of features to all iPhones (the original iPhone, the iPhone 3G, and the new iPhone 3G-S). Neither the 3.0 software update OR the 3G-S were available when most of these reviews were written, so they are irrelevent.

I am a very happy Amazon customer, but I think that Amazon needs to be more prudent about ensuring that they post product reviews that are relevent to the product that they appear with!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great buy, February 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iPhone For Dummies: Includes iPhone 3GS (Paperback)
My niece always took care of my technical problems, phone or computer. Well, she went off to college [proud of her]. The times I've run into a question about how to accomplish some step on my iPhone, the book walked me through the solution. Niece came home for a visit, was impressed how 'knowledgeable' her Auntie had become. p.s. Mac for Dummies equally good.
