I purchased this for the sole intention of using with Skype via my iTouch Gen 2 and I'm happy to report, it works %100! Plenty loud and the people I tested it with reported better call quality than my cell phone. Music performance leaves a lot to be desired (flat and lifeless) but this is not the reason one would purchase such a cheap mic/headset.

I can also confirm this to work with the built-in voice recorder, the I am T-Pain app and the Talkbox app.

Also both chargers worked fine with my Gen 2 jailbroken iTouch.

Just fyi, the chargers will not work with an iPod Touch, only the iPhone. I kept the microphone and gave away the chargers.

i use this for skype on ipod touch 3rd generation- its perfect- plug it in and talk via skype immediately- exactly what I needed it to do- the chargers were just backups of stuff I already had but will be handy since I always seem to lose chargers. price makes this the perfect buy!
