5.0 out of 5 stars Great for toddlers
I bought this set for my 18 month old son and he's had a bunch of fun with it. I looked at the similar sets that were available from Walmart and other big box stores. They looked ok, but the pieces were a little smaller, possibly aimed at slightly older children. Then I found this brand in a little local 'heirloom' toy store and the toyshop owner really recommended them...

1.0 out of 5 stars magnets fall apart too easily
magnets not that strong - difficult to build anything remotely like what is pictured on the box. Would not buy again and should return this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Weak magnets = bummer!, January 2, 2010

We were so excited for our toddler to open these on Christmas morning because he loves playing with his brother's Geomags (which are awesome). His brother's toys are too small and we didn't want him to play with them unsupervised so this seemed like the perfect answer. These toys are a waste of money. The magnets will not even hold together laying on the floor. They would be really nice if the magnets were stronger, but my son doesn't even play with them because they will not stick together! I recommend getting the GEOMAG baby magnets and we are going to try the Guidecraft set. What a waste of money...and I expected more from IPlay.

Magnets aren't very strong. The pieces don't hold together well even for an adult but it's meant for a small child. I was disappointed. My granddaughter hardly plays with it.

I bought this set for my 18 month old son and he's had a bunch of fun with it. I looked at the similar sets that were available from Walmart and other big box stores. They looked ok, but the pieces were a little smaller, possibly aimed at slightly older children. Then I found this brand in a little local 'heirloom' toy store and the toyshop owner really recommended them for 1 to 2 year olds. My son's played with these quite a bit, from sticking the magnetic sticks together, to kicking the balls around, to carrying one ball on a stick around as an 'ice cream cone'. Other children of the same age range have also had a good time with them since we got them. I suspect they won't really start building with them until they're a bit closer to age two. With all the abuse they've gotten, I've been impressed with the durability. One of the balls did start loosening along its seam, but then my little one insists on drop-kicking it into the wall over and over again. (He's obsessed with soccer.)

The 27 piece set has been a good value. I might have gotten the bigger set if the store had had it in stock. Although I don't know . . . at this age, 27 pieces has seemed like enough. More would probably be more pieces to keep track of. (We've had it now since Christmas and I think we know where all of the pieces are, except for one ball and about three of the sticks. Considering that my son seems to lose about 2 binkies a week, I consider that a success story.)

The magnets in this toy are two weak. I am returning them and purchasing the Jumbo Magneatos. My child has Jumbo Magneatos at her daycare and they work great.

1.0 out of 5 stars House of cards, December 21, 2009

It is easier to build a house of cards. The pictures are completely deceiving. There is no way that little girl built that structure. We (the parents) couldn't get the simplest triangle to hold together.

These would be fun, but the magnets are too weak and the structures fall apart very easily. I will return these and get the Magnetos set instead.

1.0 out of 5 stars Huge let down, January 9, 2012
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: iPlay Jumbonetics - 27 Piece set (Toy)
We were recently given the Jumbonetics playset as a gift. I was eager to have my daughter build with this new toy, but sadly is was a huge letdown. I believe this toy is a great idea, but it just doesn't work. My 2 year old daughter gets frustrated playing with this set because she really can't build anything. The pictures on the box are misleading because even my husband and I can barely make a structure stay together with anything going vertical.

My son is 19 months and he loves the magnetic aspect of this product. He hasn't really grasped how to build with it but that should come in time. Right now he just loves to stick the objects together. It works better if I help him build things but he loves to do it by himself.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible!, December 25, 2011
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: iPlay Jumbonetics - 27 Piece set (Toy)
This toy is horrible! The magnets are really weak and the balls are heavy, so it's impossible to build anything 3-dimensional. No way could we build anything like what is on the package. An adult can't make it work, so how could a toddler do it? I'm returning it asap.
