iPod Dockstation with Cordless Phone

The item looks great after unpacking. Phone and digital answering maching work fine. However the blue light lights are amazingly bright, impossible to sleep to. The blue backlight for the clock only comes on after you touch a button, so you can't see the clock from far away. The backlighting on my unit broke after less than two weeks, and I only used the thing when going to sleep. The sound is nice, but won't turn down enough to try to sleep to. I wouldn't by this again, ever.

I received this as a gift recently and let me outline the problems:1.The power light is blue and is amazingly bright in the dark. 2. The round digital display does not illuminate in the dark preventing one from quickly glancing at the time.3. If you wish to see the digital display you must push a button and then two additional blue lights go on that would keep anyone awake even though they go out after a while.These failures are, I believe, major design flaws and the alarm isn't all that easy to operate either. Too many steps.

The other reviews state the obvious with the bright blue lighting that would keep anyone awake. Then the clock backlighting broke very soon after I plugged the thing in. The alarm settings really stink -- too many buttons to push. The phone quality is also very poor, with a lot of static and warped voices. While the idea is awesome (iPod dock, clock radio and cordless phone), I hate this product.

I thought it would be great to have all these items in one - but nothing works well. The "extra" phone would not charge. The backlight is far too bright. The alarm takes too many steps to program and the snooze and stop button are too close together. This item has been one frustration after another. We are buying something else today.

This thing is so awful... I was looking for a different one to replace this and stumbled upon this by accident I have never written a review before but felt compelled to warn others I bought this from Sam's club... it looked like the perfect solution to my bedroom nightstand clutter problem... the ipod works fine the alarm clock is too complicated but is very loud... the time does not stay lit so if you want to see the time in the dark forget it .. and the phone is just horrible.... the battery time on it is just as lousy... everyone says they can't understand a word I am saying... I usually wind up having to go downstairs to the kitchen phone... it absolutely is the worst phone i have ever used....i wish i had saved the receipt and the box so i could return it.... real waste .....

I bought this, and the Ipod always works, but the phone is Cr*p!! It hardly ever works, doesn't charge properly, and is just not worth it. If you want an Ipod stereo, go with something else. The clock also does not stay lit, I use it in my room to be able to listen to the Ipod, have a phone, and clock all in one, however had to leave my alarm clock in there also so I know what time it is when I wake up with out having to push a million buttons! NOT WORTH THE $$$!! It is also getting worse with time, and once the Ipod stereo fades out this is going into the trash! The radio part does not get good reception either. I thought I was getting a great all in one, and ended up with a piece of junk that takes up to much room for what it is good for!

You don't need the alarm component of this product because the blinding blue light will prevent you from ever going to sleep in the first place.

I thought I'd found the perfect solution - ditch the old clock radio & phone and replace them with an ipod docking station that is also a cordless phone & clock radio. First of all I charged the phone but it never worked. The manual that came with the product is poorly written, but I don't need a manual to insert a battery & plug in a clock radio phone. Secondly, the tilt of the unit is not adjustable and I have it on a dresser which is higher than my bed, so I cannot see the clock. The blue light on the thing is so bright I have it covered with a cloth. I have not been able to contact anyone for service on the non-working phone, since both the 800 number and website/email address appear to be bogus. If someone else has had similar issues I'd love to find out if/how they were resolved. Now I realize why so many of these inexpensive units are for sale on ebay, amazon, etc.

I was so excited when I found this solution for my bedroom. However, you can not tell the time in the dark. So much for a lit clock display. Useless. In addition, the phone never did charge correctly. Took the thing back. Don't waste your money. Hopefully some one will come out with one of these that is functional.

No warranty. False sales. Item does not do what it says on the box. Does not charge ipod. No backlight for night time viewing. Other lights too bright to sleep with. Either out the cost of the item for something that does not work or out shipping charges to ship back. Then I would be paying for something I get no use out of. DO NOT BUY.
