5.0 out of 5 stars iPod Photo Dock a Winner
The iPod Photo dock is a winner if you want to play a slideshow on your tv using the S-Video Out, or just if you want a place for your iPod to be held when you synch it or charge it. This dock only gives a snug fit to the 40 & 60GB iPod Photo models. This dock is not for the 30GB iPod photo, for that, you would use the dock with the ASIN of B0007KX4UQ.

Great! It dose charge my iPod touch 2g! BUT! It doesn't let me plug into my speakers or watch videos via my s-video and component cable. I was highly disappointed, because all this really is is a expensive way to watch your iPod charge while standing up.

This other dock I mentioned works with all of the Photo models, as it is just the actual dock, then a plastic cover piece, labelled 30GB & 60GB. The 30GB plastic cover works with the 30GB iPod Photo, the 60GB cover works with the old 40GB iPod Photo, and either the new or old 60GB iPod Photo's. You can not replace the plastic cover piece, so keep that in mind when applying it. The 40/60GB models will not fit in the 30GB plastic cover piece, however, the 30GB model will fit in the 40/60GB cover piece, but not as nice of a snug fit if you had the correct cover piece on.

5.0 out of 5 stars replacement for a lost iPod Photo Dock, December 29, 2004
This review is from: iPod Photo Dock USB 2.0, FireWire, Digital Audio Line Out (Electronics)
Unlike the docks for the regular and mini iPods, the iPod Photo Dock has an S-Video out port so you can take your iPod with you (probably how you lost your dock to begin with) and use it like a pocket-sized Enfocus machine for your own slide show akin to a PowerPoint presentation. The dock will let you put your photos on a large TV or monitor via the S-Video port while you navigate from slide to slide by way of the iPod controls.

The iPod dock is a fast and easy way to integrate your iPod with your current stereo. The process takes all of two minutes (assuming you can easily get to the connectors on the back of your stereo). Sound quality is good and the iPod makes it a breeze to play a whole selection of your favorites without having to be a CD jockey.

I have not accessed the video or photo functions at this time, but expect they are equally easy to use.

I would like to review the product but it never arrived. The seller never notified me of the delay and/or cancellation. He never even returned my emails. I guess we now know why his mama named him Tim Shady. Avoid this seller. Period.
