Recently bought two 400 watt bulbs, one each of the HPS/MH. Have ran both bulbs non stop on 12 hour and 18 hour cycles without any trouble. At 25.00 each they are very reasonable. And the lumen output is top of the line. My plants are almost as happy as I am about the bulbs performance. I am so glad to have found bulbs that perform and are inexpensive. I have tried quite a few bulbs over the years both cheap and pricey and to me these bulbs perform as well as their expensive rivals. I know there are a lot more disabled people like myself who simply want to grow their own meds and with quality and cost in mind. You can be sure these bulbs will meet your needs without breaking your bankroll. Jerry

I've been using this bulb for 2 weeks now and It's seems to be doing a good job. Plants are thriving nicely. If it lasts for 2 or 3 grows, I will be buying more. Very good price for a bulb. I can't see spending a hundred dollars on a bulb unless it produces 5 times the yield. For less that $20 it's worth a test .I tested it with my Lux meter ,it read 51,000 at 12" from the bulb. I was impressed considering my 400w is only pushing 54,000 at 12" I will update this review in two months (mid may) after harvest. The nice people at Grow Lights Direct even gave me a courtesy call to see how the bulb was preforming. COOL!!! ;P

update: 3 grows so far and still working fine

These folks are all about customer service. The bulb is as advertised. Its like looking at the freakin sun and is not as hot as i had feared. I also ordered a set of MH bulbs, one of which arrived broken. I sent an email which was promplty replied to with a name and phone number for a real customer service rep. After a short explanation the new bulb was sent out and arrived in 5 days(including the weekend). Funny thing is that I was gonna just let it go, but they kept sending me emails and phone calls wanting to resolve the situation. I buy very few items over with the internet, I have trust issues. However, I will use this company again with no reservations.

I ordered two 600 hps bulbs in order to have a backup in case of bulb failure. One was defective and the other has been working fine. I was contacted some time later about how the bulbs were, and instantly told about the replacement policy, and that a replacement bulb was to be sent out A.S.A.P. I have every confidence in this companies products, and now know that they back their products 100%. Thats rare in this day and age and is valued greatly by me. I will continue to shop in this manner because i know if there is a problem that it will be remedied with one phone call. Thank-you Amazon and the manufacturers you work with. Sincerely, Jammer

I've tried a lot of different HPS bulbs, there is so much smoke and mirrors in the marketing but honestly I can't tell any difference between the $68-$75 models compared to the $20-$25 models, they're all around 2100-2800k color temperature for growing big flowers and measured with my light meter at six-inches on axis they're all putting out about 100k-luxe in the same fixture.

If the brightness level and color temperature is the same it's the same.

I have this bulb paired with an Apollo 600 watt ballast I bought here on Amazon, my plants are loving it.

Happy gardening to all

These seem to be a great alternative to the more expensive Plantmax or Duralux bulbs. I change out bulbs for each new garden and I see no reason to spend three times the money on a bulb that does not give a substantial boost in lumens. I was getting about 145000 with a duralux "hope I am stating that right" and my iPower bulbs are running at 142000 religeously so there is no need what-s0-ever to spend three times as much. Now, if you are not changing bulbs who knows, maybe the other "more spendy' brands will hold their lumens over a longer period of time, but after running for three-four months I saw no loss in lumens which would lead me to think that these would hold up just fine as well if used for more than one gardening season.
