Such a lovely collection, suitable for general relaxation, lounging, or background music at dinner. I've read some of the other reviews about how some of the songs seem too upbeat for relaxing, but I disagree; we all use different tools to unwind. I used to listen to rock to relax. But whatever you use, when it comes to music, you can always listen to samples before purchasing. So check these tracks out.

This is my first meditational CD and I love it. It is very calming and soothing music.

i bought this CD to accompany my meditation. I couldn't have made a worse choice. Not relaxing at all. I think it is due to the poor track sequence - no consistent tempo. One song ends with fast piano and the next starts with slow guitar. Not relaxing at all.

I know for a fact the reviewer claiming to be Claude Challe is not. This is a disgruntled ex-employee of the label that put out this compilation. If you look at all his reviews you'll notice that the negative ones are for this one label. It's a shame he felt like he had to do this. Bottom line is, this is an exceptional set of beautiful New Age music good for taking the tension away. With today's technology one can listen to samples most anywhere, including iTunes and this label's site. Do yourself a favor and listen. Don't let one sad soul's venom taint your opinion.

I would not recommend this cd for someone to relax or meditate because some songs are not suited for such, because of the varying tempo and pronounce melodic tunes that will make you pay attention to the music rather than take your mind off of everything and just relax.

I myself, got this as a gift and do not use it to mediate nor relax completely. I just listen to this cd for the pure musical offerings. Overall, some songs are amazing. I don't know why someone would give this cd one star because the quality of some of these songs are excellent in terms of musical depth and melodic. The genre of this cd should be New Age.

I would recommend this cd for people to pop it into the car's cd player and listen to it on the way home.

Not recommended for mediation, only for New Age music lovers.

I believe that the title on this CD is misleading. If all you need or want is simple relaxation music, there is plenty out there that doesn't ask anything of the listener. But if you take IRelax Anywhere and really listen to its clear simplicity, melody, and composition, it's easy to appreciate the real artistry that made it. Some of the tracks have "spoken" so eloquently to me that they have dragged out deep emotion and appreciation for their beauty. I definitely don't consider it to be simply pretty background music. More art and technique has gone into this one CD than all rap and hip-hop ever made.
