I/O Magic Sound Assault 5.1 Headphones,
By
This review is from: iRiver 6 CHANNEL HEAD SET SYSTEM-5.1 DOLBY DIGITAL &AC3 ( IHD51 ) (Electronics)
This is a great value for the money. There is only one video review, and wow, was it hard to find. The cons: They are comfortable only for the first hour or so, and then the cups start to hurt my ears. The three sets of stereo 1/8' connections have a tendency to hum, unless the preamplifier is positioned just so.
The pros: There are TWO USB connectors, and drawing current from your pc to power the preamp probably is the way to go. Why two USB? Perhaps early designers hoped to provide a way to make all audio connections digital? I don't know. This might have eliminated the major drawback of the pre-amp, the constant low level hum. The great feature about these earphones is that the subwoofer speakers actually vibrate, useful for gaming or whatever. I've used them for force feedback, myself.

Low Quality - Move along these arent the droids you're looking for.,
This review is from: iRiver 6 CHANNEL HEAD SET SYSTEM-5.1 DOLBY DIGITAL &AC3 ( IHD51 ) (Electronics)
The head phones were small and sit on your ear, the outer casing was very low quality and looked used right out of the box.
To be perfectly honest I didn't even finsih taking them out of the box they were such low quality, so I can't comment on the sound quality. If you dont mind a large cheap plastic headphone smashed on you ear maybe you want to try it out, but if I'm going to be watching a movie or playing a few hours of video games I want a nice comfortable ear cup.
