5.0 out of 5 stars Fab!
Much better than the bulky factory AC adapter charger, which is discontinued from iriver. This USB cable charges and syncs from a computer. The AC plug and cigarette lighter plug both have inserts to plug in this (or any other) USB corded device. I can use the plugs to also charge my kid's ipod and our digital camera with their cords. Way cool.

I was worried...

2.0 out of 5 stars Does not sync (really)
Works as a charger, but mine sync-ed only the first time I plugged it in, and now won't sync at all. Contrary to one of the prior reviews, I am not an idiot, nor is my Windows Media player not up to date--yet neither Media Player nor Napster will recognize the device when connected.
I will give the makers props for charging just about anything with a USB...

I was worried about its performance since this is an aftermarket item and I read some reviews for this and similar products that it works as a charger but not to sync, but I was correct in assuming some users are idiots. The iriver H10 requires Windows XP and Media Player 10. Plugging in USB to computer automatically detects the device and syncs through Media Player 10.

File this under "Should have read other reviews." The cable works great for charging, but it is not a sync cable to be used for loading data. I'll be sending this back for a single cable that will charge and sync.

4.0 out of 5 stars It does sync after all!, June 2, 2008
This review is from: iRiver H10 Series USB ActiveSync Travel Charge Kit
I had an old iriver charge cable and lost it, so I bought this. I bought this product recently and had similar problems at first with it only syncing once. Then I deleted the "profile" wmp11 had for my iriver and reconnected the device in "emergency connect mode" (turn off the iriver and turn back on holding the O) and now it works fine!

This product works well the only negatives are the cord doesnt "snap" in like the iRiver one and comes loose easily, you cant charge and play, and the charger doesnt signal when its done charging. But if you're like me with no other way to charge or sync your iriver anymore, it's definetly the way to go!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sync it, February 5, 2007

The hot sync works well as a charger but I was under the impression I could use it to sync my iriver.
