Each Virtual Wall Lighthouse (2 included) confines Roomba to one room until the entire floor is vacuumed before Roomba moves on to the next room. When its battery is running low, or when the cleaning is complete, Roomba automatically returns to its self-charging Home Base to dock and recharge. The pros:
You can schedule it to clean and never touch it again except to empty the dirt. It does a good job of cleaning hardwood floors on my main level (kitchen, hall, living and dining rooms), moves around furniture nicely, and is reliable. The floor never looks dirty or dusty, and there is always a good deal of dirt in the unit to empty indicating that it works. Ihe Cons: It is a little loud, and more importantly it tends to climp up the leg of a coffee table and just shut off. I do recommend the unit, it saves me a great deal of effort every week.
