Great product. Just remember to use it correctly and CLEAN it correctly after use. The little plunger in the top needs to be popped out after each 'emptying' of the canister and cleaned. Remember to do that and you'll have no problems.

My husband and I have been on a low carb diet for almost 6 months. Having this charger allows us to make sugar-free whipped cream. We add liquid Splenda, vanilla or Da Vinci vanilla free syrup for a delicious topping for berries and sf jello. We also bought a big pack of chargers because we use one for each pint of heavy cream.

I have had one of the consumer grade ISI whip cream makers for over 10 years and only recently did I decide that several of the parts were at the end of their usable life. As I love the simplicity and ease of ISI's creamers, I decided to see what their "latest and greatest" offering was. This Profi Whip is amazing...so much more ruggedly built and simpler to clean/maintain than my old one. I definitely cannot agree with any of the criticisms the other reviewers have made. This is a well designed, well manufactured kitchen accessory that will last you for years...possibly even decades with the new silicone sealing ring. If you like real whip cream and also are curious about flavoring it or making similar whipped desserts or side dishes, please give this a try. I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

This thing works great, especially if you read the instructions.
Here is how I make my whipped cream with it:
- Pour contents of 1/2 quart of 30% chilled milk cream in it. Make sure the Cream Whipper is also cold.
- Add 2-3 drops of Stevia (if you want to keep your calorie intake low)
- Add three teaspoons of icing sugar to a cup.
- Add a little dash of Xanthan gum to the icing sugar (probably not necessary) and mix them carefully together with a fork. Note: xanthan gum has synergistic effect with guar gum, so you can combine the two for an even stronger thickening effect, or to reduce the amount of Xanthan gum you use. Again, this may be completely unnecessary, but I just like my cream really thick.
- Add icing sugar with xanthan gum in it to the cream in the Cream Whipper
- Close the Cream Whipper
- Screw in all the parts: the nozzle, then cover, and finally the high pressure bullet-like thingy (ordered separately)
- Shake it vigorously for a few seconds (so that all contents get mixed well)
- MOST IMPORTANT: turn it upside down, with the nozzle being perfectly vertical. Press the handle gently to release the cream SLOWLY. Do NOT press it all the way, you will just push out the air.

This thing is AWESOME!!! I got mine for Christmas. I am utterly amazed at how well the whipped cream holds up. I'm so used to store bought whipped cream, that 'melt' after a few minutes.
I made chocolate mousse with this whipped cream maker last night, and it was heavenly. After 30 minutes, the mousse hadn't changed form at all (my eyes were bigger than my stomach, and I dished up more than I could eat). Perfectly whipped. Deliciously awesome.

Makes great whipped cream, after some learning curve. First, the basic recipe, it calls for 1 tbsp powder sugar, 4 tbsp vanilla extract. It tasted aweful. I reversed the portion and now it's great.

Second, you have to be gentle with the first squeeze when the pressure is high. Otherwise, the whipped cream will be all over the kitchen --lots clean up to do.
