This device makes delicious fresh cream without the sugar. It's very easy to use, and I'm on my second device (I lost a part for the first one....Keep the parts together. They are expensive to replace.)

The chargers (gas canisters) last without losing pressure. I hadn't used the device for a while, and the chargers were in a cabinet. They are working fine.

I prefer the half pint unit, although I could have paid a lot less for the pint unit. I've never had the issues other reviewers have mentioned in the pint unit reviews: squirting, liquidy, etc. the half pint unit makes plenty of cream, and I like being able to wash all the pieces more often. It keeps things cleaner, and the cream fresher.

**** As the unit gets low, it will stop dispensing. Hold the device over the sink and press the button before you open it to release any remaining gas. Once you open it, use a silicone bottle spatula to access the remaining whipped cream.

Also, before first use, rinse all parts with warm water. The interior coating of the bottle is not meant for soap.... I called the company, since it resembles the inside of my Nespresso Aeroccino milk frothier which specifically instructs not to use soap. They confirmed that soap should not be used on these units, either.

... And, by the way: I don't worry about the number of times I shake.... A couple of extra times don't seem to hurt, especially if you are dispensing immediately to take the initial pressure off.

Enjoy! Any questions, post, and I'll get back to you.

You have never had good whipped cream before. You just don't know it. Here's my story:

I honestly thought this was a really silly piece of kitchen nonsense. I think it took us 3 years to just get around to getting the gas cartridge for it. I made gentle fun of my wife for wanting it. I think it sat in the basement for 2 years at least.

I can admit when I'm wrong. I'm even writing a review as penance for my judgmental stupidity. But this thing is so awesome that I'm the one who keeps it filled now. It makes the crud you buy from the grocery store taste like drilling byproduct.

Here's our recipe that makes sweet, delicious whipped cream:

8 oz Heavy Cream
2 T Powdered Sugar

Mix together in bowl. Whisking doesn't seem necessary but it doesn't hurt.

Pour into cream whipper. Charge with gas. Shake heartily. Consume immediately. Smile constantly.

This whipper is easy to use. The hardest part about it is in loading it; the instructions state to not overfill, so you must be careful to remove the same amount of cream that you will be using in liquid sweetener if you are using one of the coffee syrups. Probably won't matter if you're using Stevia powder or liquid. Our only difficulty is the size, it only lasts a couple days for desserts; we've already ordered the 1 pint. Since both use exactly one gas cartridge, the larger size will be more economical.

The only other item to note is that you need to know the percent of fat in the cream you are using in order to shake it the necessary times. This can vary from brand to brand.

This is my second ISI whipper. I had the larger one and thought the smaller size might make less waste since I usually only use 8 oz of whipping cream. I was disappointed. When you can't dispense anymore whipped cream, there is quite a bit left in the container. This one did come with a brush to clean the nozzle and you really need it because this nozzle is not flexible, it's hard and not easy to clean. It doesn't pull off very easily for cleaning between uses.

I use this almost every day. I love making regular whipped cream as well as coconut milk whipped cream. The container holds about half it's size in liquid and the rest is left open for the gas. This does NOT come with chargers so you will need to purchase them separately.

This .25 liter (1/2 pint) version holds a maximum of one cup of cream (or any liquid). Its fine for a couple or three person home. IF you have larger parties, you will need to fill it twice and use two NO2 cartridges instead of one (for the full pint version) - so it ends up costing twice as much in the long run for larger parties. Given the cartridges are about $1.00 each, this is something to consider. The larger 1 pint unit will take more space in your fridge though. The final product -whip cream, is good.

Just a perfect little whipper for small quantities, and doesn't take up much room in the fridge. I've found it more useful than the larger model that I also have.

Sometimes the button sticks and the whipped cream keeps coming out. I just put it into my mouth and eat it instead of wasting it. This is fun every once in a while, but can't eat entire bottles of whipped cream all the time. I clean mine thoroughly. This has happened when it's been newly washed and refilled and after its has been in the fridge for a few days, so I get nervous using it. Other than that, it makes great whipped cream and it's easy to clean
