5.0 out of 5 stars I Love These Bowls
Silicone is amazing for its durability, light weight, ability to withstand heat, and often (including these bowls) flexibility. I wanted to invent these several years ago, then found they were available to dentists for mixing cups. Of course, those were an ugly color and even though my dentist offered to order them for me, I declined. The absolute BEST thing about...

3.0 out of 5 stars Misleading product description
The product description states these are "1 QT. Classic Mixing bowls". I just got the shipment yesterday, and these bowls are 2 cups capacity (which is half of 1 quart, last time I checked). They appear good for prep and small mixtures, but certainly not I would consider classic mixing bowl, due to their small capacity.

The product description also says "they...

The absolute BEST thing about silicone is that nothing sticks to it, making cleanup super simple. These cups are perfect for cereal, berries, yogurt, ANYTHING, including food prep. Oh, and unbreakable and almost noiseless when it drops. Do you have little ones? I use these all day, every day. A quick rinse and it's ready for the next use. The lids that are included do a great job for that half finished food item: cover and into the fridge. They seems tight enough to go in a lunch box, but I haven't tested that yet. You can pinch the sides together for pouring, almost like a funnel. Enjoy.

The product description also says "they are stackable!" -- this is not quite as expected, as they do not nestle together very efficiently; about 1/3 of the bowl sticks out, so they are not nearly as efficient, as the usual plastic containers.

I have not used them much so no other comment. I assume (and hope!) that they quality and durability are good.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Use As A Hot and Cold Bowl Instead, August 4, 2009

I bought these bowls because they were flexible but use them as Hot and Cold bowls. In the winter, they keep soup warm, way longer than the soup lasts. In the summer I use for ice cream. Holds the temp and I dont get melted cream even at 106 in Texas. Dont know if this is what the mfg intended, but if they made glasses and coffee cups I'd buy a service for eight.

I just bought a set of these bowls at Target for $12.99. They are the SAME bowls, sold as Michael Graves design. Love them, though! I will be using them for melting candy coating in the microwave and dipping cake pops.

These a practical, durable and cute. I have only just begun to use them, but they are what they claim to be - a relatively firm and thick silicone bowl set with lids that go on slightly awkwardly, but do infact do the trick. Practical and useful - as a big-time cook, I would recommend these!

These things are great for feeding babies - I use them every day. They hold up great in the dishwasher, too.

Since I got these bowls, I use them everyday. Those plastic
container were replaced by these silicon ones. I only wish
they come with better colors: personally I like them in
all white!

5.0 out of 5 stars love these bowls, December 21, 2009

I love these flexible prep bowls. I use them most often when prepping to make salsa; I chop my cilantro, tomatoes and onions and keep them in these bowls until I am ready to throw them together. What is great is that if you needed to stash your ingredients away for awhile before finishing your dish, they have lids and away they go into the fridge. These are dishwasher safe, which is of course an automatic plus in my book and because they are silicone and flexible it makes pouring ingredients into your dish a snap.
