Highly recommended for several reasons. One, it is silent. No more noisy beaters interrupting your dinner party while you beat the cream. Two, you can make the whipped cream ahead of time. Three, it extends the life of the whipped cream. No more watery leftover cream in a bowl. It stays perfectly well in the container for several days.

I splurged and bought this product for my espressos in the morning. I bought the pint sized model for $35.00. (You use one charger each time you open the container up. So if you get the half pint size you will need to stock up on chargers.)

I can't believe how long cream lasts in this thing. I had cream in it for almost two weeks and it was still fresh!

The canned whip cream you buy in the store is too sweet for me, so I just put a little bit of Torino Caramel syrup in with the cream to flavor it. I use it when company comes over for coffee, pie, etc. Why didn't I buy one of these things sooner?

I saw these a couple of years ago in a "What's Hot for Christmas" article. I have wanted one ever since and just recently bit the bullet. I wish now I would have bought my ISI Cream Whipper as soon as they became available. ISI's website has numerous recipes published using Torani flavored syrups. It's so easy to make coffees and deserts look like you had a professional prepare them that it's almost sinful! I tell people that they are the greatest little gadget you can afford to allow yourself to indulge in. Everyone that ever uses whipped cream should have one of these whippers. The taste is so much fresher and better than canned and it's so much easier and less messy than whipping in a bowl (and it won't separate like in a bowl). Now that ISI is offering the 1/2 pint size and it's acually very reasonable...my advice it get one today! You'll use it more than 3/4 of the gadgets in your kitchen that you thought you needed! And don't forget to get a variety of Torani syrups for experimenting and an extra box of chargers because you'll use it more than you think! Three of my best friends and family members are getting one for Christmas...I want to share this exciting find!

Beware when buying from Amazon.com Mine came without the 10 pack cartridge and replaced with one used cartridge. Otherwise, this is a wonderful fun product. Just pour the cream into the containter, place the cartridge in the holder, shake gently and you have instant whipped cream. The two different nozzle attachments are great for adding whipped cream to cocoa or coffee and the other nozzle is great for decorating cakes or tortes.

not so good-
-It is only half pint, it doesn't go that far but hey you knew that when you buy it! So because of that, if you were having more than 4 guests for dessert you may have to quickly refill and recharge in the middle of dessert!
-It does have a different texture/taste than if you took a whisk/electric whisk and beat the cream yourself. doing it by hand gives it a smoother, richer texture and I prefer that for decorating pavlovas/cakes etc.

But then most people know what the heavily aerated texture tastes like so I guess it's a personal choice.

-If you have 4 people in the house I would recommend the pint size, purely for economics - this half pint size still takes the same price/charger as the pint size. And it does keep for up to 2 weeks so if you don't use all of it in a pint size in 2 days it will keep.

I got one of these as a x-mas gift a few years ago and love it! It is especially wonderful around the holidays. I like to make pies and it is great topping on all types of pies. We also drink a lot of flavored coffee and hot chocolate in the winter (its pretty cold here at night) and love to top it off with the cream. I'm not sure about the flavored syrups, but I just add some flavored coffee creamer (international delight or coffee mate) to the container and it makes it taste so good. It is such a hit at holiday parties that I have to borrow my mom's to keep up with the demand. It makes a great gift just be sure to get enough off the cartriage containers or you will run out!

I've owned this item for years, and I can't say I use it every day, but when I do I'm always impressed: Easy to use, easy to store, easy to clean. It's one of my favorite kitchen gadgets. I even had to order replacement parts recently from the manufacturer (I lost the top nozzle in a move), and it was no problem on-line :)

I think this ISI Half pint whipper is great. The first time I made whip cream it was light and fluffy and I whipped it on Jacque Torres Hot Cocoa. I can't tell you how the whip cream blended so well and tasted so good. My wife and I are now devoted loyalists to ISI whippers and plan to buy a full pint in the future. This is a highly recommended product and so easy to use.

Hi, We are happy with our whipper, but it does NOT come with a charger.
The description on amazon says that a charger is included, but there are none in the box. The box just comes with the whipper. You will have to buy chargers separately to the Whipper.

I was looking for a cream maker but all I find was a big boattle, wich was too big for my family (4 persons). so I found a small cream maker and serve strawberries with cream as much as we need. best regards alba
