This stuff doesn't work the way the manufacturer claims it does. I followed the instructions to the letter, and washed every piece afterwards with soap and water, and the tarnish still didn't come off. I might as well have used any silver cleaner from the grocery store.

I have tried this product on two occasions, one with bad tarnish, the next with slight tarnish. Both times not a bit of tarnish was removed. Save your money and buy the regular old silver cleaner.....

This stuff is great. I polished a silverplated tea service with no trouble at all. There are a couple of TINY areas where the tarnish did not go away, but for the most part, the set looks like new! I couldn't get it anywhere near this shiny polishing by hand. The silver must be COVERED by BOILING water. It didn't do much at first. When I jiggled the sachet with the end of wooden spoon, the powder really started to dissolve in the water and it worked like magic. I love this stuff!

The key to success with this product is boiling hot water AND connecting the silver directly to the silver portion of the pad (don't depend on silver to silver contact). It also did an awesome job of quickly removing tarnish from within the fine carving groves in my silver service.

THIS IS SUCH A TIME SAVER WHICH IS A CINCH TO USE AND, IN FACT, PRODUCES GREAT RESULTS. WE HAVE SIGNIFICANT HEIRLOOM PIECES WITH INTRICATE DETAIL AND ALL THE "NOOKS AND CRANNIES" CAME FREE OF TARNISH. WHAT A RELIEF! YOU MUST TRY THIS IF YOU WANT BEAUTIFUL SILVER PIECES ONCE AGAIN.
