iSiVaL LED Mini HD Projector

I bought this projector earlier this year, hoping I could use it as a monitor replacement for 10,000~30,000 hours. At the beginning it was working fine with both digital and analog video sources.

After running it for several months with an analog input, I connected it again to a VGA computer output and noticed that the colors in the center were way off (dark and yellowish). I concluded that some sections in one of the color LED light sources (it rapidly switches between R/G/B illumination to produce an illusion of full color) began to fail, LONG BEFORE the advertised 30,000 hours. There was no way to fix the problem. The center of the screen now has a noticeable brown spot, which makes it virtually unusable.

THIS PROJECTOR DID NOT GIVE ME MORE THAN 4000 HOURS OF OPERATIONAL TIME. It appears that the LED sources in this projector have not been adequately tested before the lamp life was claimed, and it may be that the LED heat sinks in this projector are insufficient.

You will probably NOT be able to run this for the full advertised 30,000 hours, which makes it no more cost-effective than regular, brighter projectors.

I this up to use for home and for when I travel, and it's awesome. The picture doesn't show just how SMALL it is; it actually fits in the pocket of a pair of cargo shorts. The picture is super crisp and the colors are very bright. The only downside is that the contrast isnt *that* high. The only time you notice that is when the picture is thrown against a wall (vs. a screen) and you're watching something with a lot of blacks. Otherwise (on a screen...) It looks great! Set about 15 feet from the screen, you can get 120" easy.

I got this projector for several reasons but I have always wanted to have a projector.

What attracted me:
Small form factor
HD resolution
16:9 aspect ratio
Price ($500)

Cons:
Manual sharpness (you have to twist a knob to focus the image)
Fan noise (it's not bad if you up your volume, but you will notice it in a quiet room)
You have to be in a dark room to use it

I wish:
That it would have a motor for adjusting the focus and do it via the remote
Wall mount of some kind

Still using this thing a year later. The blu-ray quality is still amazing. I also keep it on all night while I sleep. This is one of the best investments I've ever made. When isival makes another one of these, Imma gobble it up!

I travel a lot and have a beach house that presents an enormous problem with corrosion.
Leaving electronic equipment there for extended periods is risky - and expensive.
This little projector travels with me, fitting nicely inside my laptop bag.
At the beach, I keep it inside a Ziplock bag when not in use.
I can watch cable TV via HDMI or AV and the image is surprisingly good for such a small package.
It does not heat-up like lamp projectors and goes directly into the bag even after hours of use.
The manual zoom is not a problem for me. Once the focus is set, there is no need to fiddle with it, unless you move it to another location.
I find that I can remove it out of the Ziplock bag and set it at the same place without the need for adjustments.
It is great for watching DVDs and live TV. Of course, it does not have the clarity of a full HD LCD or Plasma set, but it does everything I expected of it.
The remote control had a contact problem that could not be resolved, for the little thing was not designed to be repaired by the user.
A call to ISIVAL got me a replacement by mail.
In all, I am very satisfied with this product and the after sale service.

I just got my new projector and all i can say is that it is really awesome!!! Great projector for the price. The color is quite accurate and very crisp. Very good for movie watching through netflix and my hp laptop. I didn't expect the projector to perform this good. When it hasn't arrived yet I was planning on returning it and replace it with a Casio Green projector, which is 300 dollars more expensive. But changed my mind when I tried it out.

I bought this last week and had a few technical questions before and after the sale. They responded quickly with great enthusiasm. Shipping was fast and the projector was smaller than my WD External Hard Drive. I would definitely buy this companies products again!

When I ordered this item,I thought, was it worth $500 ? but when I received the product the whole idea changed.

Resolution is awesome. It goes to 1920*1080... but unfortunately my laptop doesn't support it. It is bright enough to view in the daylight also. During the nights or in a dark room.... you can't get a better performance like this on any other similar projectors.

Mirror attachment is cool. You can project the screen on the ceiling, lay on the bed and play games or watch a movie.

Remote Control comes in handy but it works only on certain angle. This is the only bad thing I found about Isival. Since I use the remote only to switch on and switch off... It doesn't bothers me.

Overall, its a great product. Hope this helps.

This projector rocks!

It was very simple and intuitive to set up. It is very small and lightweight. I use it as both a television for the Xbox 360 and a monitor for my computer.
